I was about to give up on ToS until a Rank 9 update after seeing I would have to reroll yet again since my main character’s build has no synergy at all with any Rank 8, but after thinking a little more I thought I could try another base class and see if the game can still hook me up if I change playstyles. I only made swordsmen so I have no idea about any of the other classes and wanted to check on a few things before jumping on it and would be glad if I could get some answers so I can decide which class/build to follow since most info I find is outdated from before Rank 8 update.
So, here are the questions:
Musketeer C2 vs Fletcher C3 + Mergen, which one has better damage output right now? I know fletcher is pretty good, but I heard that mergen is underwhelming while Musketeer C2 is not.
Which non-swordsmen classes can do well on world bosses right now? All I hear about are dragoon/fencer/dopel but surely there are others that can do fine on Rank 8.
Can Schwarzer Reiter deal well with bosses? Or does it only shine at AoE? Its moves seem really powerful, but I can imagine it having a hard time to hit bosses since most of them make the character move around.
Would C2>P1>PLD3>P2/PD1>INQ1 or some int Plague Doctor 2 build work well as support dps hybrid? I mean as in, could both find and be useful in a party while not be useless soloing since as much as I would prefer full support, or full dps, I don’t have a fixed party and don’t have that much free playtime to always look for one before actually playing nor I think cleric can outdo the other classes at dps (I know that the owl is pretty strong, and that there are dps clerics, but can they compete for world boss and all that?).
