Hey guys, i’m taking these for Q&A topic of this morning:
Q3. If critical attack is under DEX now, does that mean STR will no longer have an influence on anything critical-related?
A3. That is correct.
Does anyone tried to see if a critical hit is still giving at least the +50% damages?
I also want to know if the critical attack is considered as additional attack value in case of a critical hit, as additional raw damage or damages that are still multiplied by 1.5 time.
To explain my point, if we take a skill like Cavalery charge (mono hit to make it easier). Consider that we have 100% crit to make it easier.
the skill factor is this one : [700 + 70 × ([Skill Level] - 1)].
For a level 5 skill we have a 980% skill base attack.
In case of critical we have 980*1.5 times albeit a 1470% of Attack.
As we have extracted yet:
- 10 STR = 25 P. Atk
- 10 DEX = 62 Critical Attack
A crit for 10 STR on this skill will be translated to 367.5 effective damages against +62 (or 93 if multiplied) with DEX.
It is the case of a really STR favorable skill because of mono-hit but even for Skarphuggning that is a 6 hits skill:
Its Skill factor [500 + ([Skill Level] - 1) × 50] *6 hits
so 700% or 1050% and it is still 262.5 additional damage against 62 or 93…
It seems that dex is only good for low level skills with small base attack factor: Try with barrage:
181 + 10.3 × ([Skill Level] - 1)
so 325% for lvl 15 barrage or 273.7 for lvl 10 or 232.5% for lvl 5.
2.32*25 correspond to 58 damages instead of 62 damage from Dex for Lvl 5 Barrage.
2.73*25 correspond to 68 damages from STR for Lvl 10 Barrage.
3.25*25 correspond to 81 damages from STRfor Lvl 15 Barrage.
So unless the critical attack is AT LEAST multiplied by the critical factor (150%), even skills with low Skill factor will deal more damage with STR than with DEX…
In the case of my actual Archer 1, Ranger 3, Rogue 3, Hakkapell, STR will be better for nearly all the skills except archer skills…
