Some advice for a begginer on classes

Hello guys,

as I often play thief on mmorpg i’m kinda sad to see there is not that archetype, i actually wanted some advice to choose a class and don’t do mistake on the build order, because i can’t reroll a lot, and so can’t put massive time in a mmorpg.

I usually play thieves classes or swordman when there is not, but i am quite interested in a support class or dps, but it seems that swordman classes are well made for their ability to tank but not their dps one :). I also read topics on the swordy in pvp seeming weaker than other archetype, or with only one viable build (dragoon if i remember well, with cataphract). Truth is i’m kinda worried to get only one viable possibility of build :/…

So what are the most fun to play classes and viable (I don’t ask for op class, just cool to play and viable in team !)

i don’t know about the most fun class i mean that’s personal preference, every class is fun in ToS.

If you want a fun class, that is easy to do.

Go swordmen and take your roll.

Wiz/ Cleric/ Archer are somethign where you need a bit time to build something good. And often they require you to have “less fun” earlygame to be the killer lategame.

go tosbase and make some builds… or search the forums.
WE HAVE ZILLIONS of post about builds and questions thereof.

You may want to look at the shinobi and rogue classes for something more “thief” like. If you’re just looking for an all around fun build, any archer build with multi shots, traps, hide and then the Schwarzer Reiter class can be entertaining. Nothing like riding a furball into combat guns blazing.

But just like avc said, most of the classes are pretty awesome and the variety really lets you tailor a character to what you like to do. It’s harder to narrow it down than anything because there’s so much fun to be had. Also: cryomancer snow rolling has to be one of the more amusing skills I’ve ever seen in a game.

I am now actually focusing on a build with a rogue (focusing on dagger aspect, but idk if it’s great, it seems dagger oriented build miss a lot of archer archetypes aspect) I may go on a shwarzer reiter looking kinda badass :smiling_imp: !
