What map are you on OP?
It happened twice at Sunset Flag Forest map, and thrice at Roxona Reconstruction Agency (at Rexona I wasn’t even close to where the Word Bosses spawn, and they weren’t alive at all).
At Roxona the flys cast Death Sentence. If you don’t kill the fly, you will die when the timer is up. I found that out the hard way.

Edit: ToS base doesn’t list their skills (bummer) but it may be the same thing. Just wait until you hit Resident Quarter. They cast bleeding and you can’t use skills, run away, nothing. xD Total nightmare. Good luck!

At Sunset Flag Forest there’re Infro Holders, they can cast Death Setence on you too. But, could you see the Bar of the Death Sentence above your head when they cast the skill?
To cancel Death Sentence, you need to kill the caster.

Ugh, so I have to kill the annoying flying mob at roxona if they cast a skill or I’ll die? Damn it, they are hard to kill, I need to use 5+ skills to kill them, swordsman life.
Weirdly sometimes the bar would just poof for me if I got away from the flys, so if you don’t know what Death Sentence is, it does look like a bug. Been in her shoes WTFing all over Roxona.
Yeah, I saw a bar, but I didn’t know what was it about and like @AnitaCafe said, sometimes it just disappear.
Changing channels removes debuff.

Well, thanks for the replies, so now I know what it is, and @furkingbustar ofc you already knew everything about the game before started playing right, good for you.
Don’t feed the trolls. I automatically pictured someone high off their ass and bored. Would have been something I did as a teenaged pot head (many moons ago), at least.

Cure can remove death sentence. Just saying.
Also please be careful in case these mobs disappear maybe through some other means like the Dullahan Event. There’s this one time that Coliflower used Death Sentence on me and I killed it but the bar is still there which I thought was a bug but I still died x.x
I was going to make a joke about Rexona being a deodorant, but then I discovered it’s called Degree in the US and Sure in the UK. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.
