[Solved] Too easy to AFK farm

+1 best comment ever.
And yeah, u had direct in the logic because exp rates there and kr.ver is super low (I mean is the same rate) and this is the best option for that so, this is more entertained than clicking and using skills to get a lv and spending hours and hours just clicking and killing of boredom yourself just to get 1 fcking lv, so u had the point.

For me I don’t have problems with dat. I feel like a veteran in MMORPGS. I don’t like presume my experience.

A great way to deal with AFK farmers: mob them.

Go find a large group of mobs relatively nearby, group it up and lure it on top of them. Do this a few times and they either are forced to leave to regen or die. Who says there’s no PvP?

It is not afk farm, it is playing standing still. If you don’t like how people wants play the game, it doesn’t entitle you to ask the game being changed to punish any gaming style but yours.

as long as you are the one holding/taping that z/tab+z or whatever it is not afk attacking, and i have no problem with that,
just when you leave something heavy on your keyboard or make your computer do the work… well it is not playing anymore and is unfair to others when you get anything for not being around (unless the game had auto-attack button)

What a joke, i’d love to see you do this on higher level maps where mobs use skills that actually gib you. Fyi kneeling shot is completely terrible later on even at max rank.

On top of that, as long as you’re actively at the computer pressing down the key it isn’t even afk farming to begin with.

There is actually a 1000 monster limit for staying in the same area and killing enemies within a certain time, if you arent even getting the anti-bot system to trigger, then I don’t think the devs are worried about this.

Wait there’s a 1000 monster limit? :open_mouth: That’s great info but now, what is the time limit you have to kill 1000 monsters to get this system to trigger because generally I don’t think anyone can hit that limit unless you’re overleveled in the area? (I would love to see a video of this however since that’s pretty damn cool)

Summons a grim reaper boss that does high damage, he takes around 5 minutes to despawn and spawns right next to your party. I believe the 1000 mobs must be killed in less than an hour. Using certain methods I achieved this with a party in kr cbt3 several times. It’s not particularly hard (it was just one person aoeing, rest supporting them) and we weren’t overleveled at all.

Yeah but can someone solo AFK kill that amount of mobs under an hour? That’s what worries me. You were actively killing mobs with AoE skills and support however someone AFKing really depends on the spawn time.

I mean, by support it literally just means gathering mobs together. It might as well have been leeching. But my entire point mentioning the anti bot is how because you wont trigger it, your “afk” killing isn’t considered a problem by the developers, or they would have done something against it.

Ah man that sounds awesome! :open_mouth: Are these spawnable in the lower levels? Like for instance If I were to go to the first zone and kill 1000 of those pink fur balls in under an hour would it spawn?

I guess theoretically, I only bothered to farm in places profitable to me. Perhaps I can find a screenshot or something later.

In one week of test i saw so many “afkers” doing that. Get used to it. The game is being designed that way.

I wish you would consider how hard to implement your ideas before you post it =.=

Stop attacking after one minute
-Requires the server to check every single player if they are attack for one minute.
-What if it’s a long boss fight where you can afford to just stand and auto-attack?

Better Solution - Limit the holding of Z button to five attacks then you have to depress it again.

Implement Captcha
-IMC has to make, test, implement another system? Would rather them improve the game.
-What if I input something wrong?
-Would annoy a lot of players.

How about put a monster 10-20 level higher in the map? Should be passive and won’t attack you unless you attack it. Any bot who just attacks any monster will likely to attack this buffed up monster and kill them in the process.

Then again, is AFK farming really that game breaking? Not only that every can do it, but you have to AFK in an area with a monster lower level than yours if you want to AFK for a long time, you wouldn’t get that much mileage out of it compared to playing manually.

If you can’t beat them, join them?

AFK farming isn’t that game breaking but it’s quite annoying if in a lower level map, you have higher leveled afkers who are taking up all of the mob spawns. And generally, going to higher leveled mobs doesn’t help much at all for an increase in EXP (as far as I saw in iCBT because a mob at level 20 will give you around 10-20 exp less than a mob at level 40)

Imagine that the game has just started and people are grinding their butts off and you just got to a quest which requires you to kill certain mobs. These mobs spawn all over the area but all of the channels and all of the mob spawns are currently being occupied by multiple botters. Maps full of botters. I’d rather not. Sure that will die down when you reach higher leveled areas but in the starting areas, that would seem very off-putting.

And for the ideas, they were just ideas we as gamers have seen in other game for IMCgames to consider and they will eventually get the final say in what they want to implement if they even want to use any of the ideas we placed here at all. That’s what feedback is for no?

Agreed, it’s not so much that I really care that they’re botting or not. It’s more so that it affects people in annoying ways, i.e mob tagging. Plus it’s an eye sore. The high level mob Idea seems cool though it’s still annoying for people who aren’t botting in the case they accidentally atack, or it walks over a telegraph of yours etc.

I wonder if oracle would be a great afk farmer killer?

Summon crazy amount of mobs and drag onto afk… hur hur…

If they’re passive mobs, transform them into a stronger mob nehehe if it becomes a weaker mob, just keep trying every 2 mins :smiling_imp:

Oohhh so that’s what happened in Mausoleum at lanterns when I was farming with ToSBR …
I guess we took too much time to kill though, suddenly he disappeared from the map (we checked everywhere) without looting anything.

Yes! I don’t know if I was there at the same time or if it happened at that spot more than once. We were so close to him dying and then poof! I thought his entire existence was maybe just a bug because of that…
