[SOLVED] Some of my characters have been deleted for some reason

please can someone help me? @STAFF_Letitia @STAFF_Yuri @STAFF_Ethan @STAFF_Ines @STAFF_Han @GM_Francis @Staff

Does anyone else experience the same issue?

UPDATE: So i tried to restart my pc to no avail… I entered my last remaining character and looked at my F4 Journal…

My Growth went back to level0 but as you can see I have already reached lv11

And it seem that my character are all still there… I just can’t see them?

I will try to verify integrity of game files and see what happens… this will be a long day for me… :persevere:

I doubled checked! All your characters are still there. :sad:
Please tell me if you are having problems after verifying the game files.
Also if you are using addons please remove them and start a fresh reinstall.

I will help you with the “No addons” part and some other testings if possible.

  • IF you use addons: To fully remove addons just for a quick test run.

Go to your Steam\SteamApps\common\TreeOfSavior\data\ folder or custom ToS install path. And look for .ipf files that look like these. (an underscore and a special symbol on them)

Select all of them and CUT and Paste them on a temporal folder OUTSIDE your Steam folder (Ex: Desktop)

You can just paste them back after your issues are resolved or if removing them fixes these issues report back.

  • Have you logged on different servers? Could you try logging on a different server, then return to your original server. According to Letitia, from the server perspective your characters are there but your client is not displaying them. It could be a big desync caused by crashes.
  • If this doesn’t work. Could you try DELETING all your XML files on

Steam\SteamApps\common\TreeOfSavior\release

And AFTER you delete them, try running a Verify of Game Integrity on Steam.

UPDATE: They’re back! guess verifying game files did the trick!
