Solution for Goldsellers spams

Why you dont put shout/megaphone uses at certain level to limit the spams at low level from goldsellers. like you can use megaphones at lvl 50 since at low level hardly and rarly you see players use it. this way botters need to level to 50 which takes at least a day before they start spamming our shout chat. let us screenshot them once they reach that level to stop them ( feel good just to see goldsellers stopped after doing this hardwork to shout). what do you think guys?

Another good solution you could use combined with a minimun level is to put Cooldown for Megaphones, this way even if people could spam at level 50, they would be slowed by an item cooldown.

I really like this. A lot of games have restrictions for Shout chat. If you spam it for like, say 3-4 times in a short period, you’ll have a 1-2 min cooldown.

That wont help because they just make one huge wall of text that spams the banner at the top for 10 mins straight.

I really do like the level limit on using them. This should help.

I haven’t used Megaphones yet, but they could do that right now. Yet they spam instead, so I’m guessing there’s words limit in the shout chat.

Well than they should limit the number of characters in the shout message too, this would be another simple solution

like i posted in another thread just make it so you have to complete lvl 50 and 90 dungeons to use shout

They would just make more bots if that happened.

i used megaphone once at lvl 50 looking for party to 50sh dungeon…now am 70 and never used one lol.

That’s why I seethis as a good solution in conjunction with min. level requirement, these are two good barriers that requires so much more effort for the spammers

maybe but…

  1. theres a char limit - that cost money to get more slots ( gold seller want to get money not sped it)
  2. they cant create a new account bcuz thne they will have to rebuy founders pak ( see above)

this is the best way because spammers can always bot to 50 effordlessly

This may be a stupid question, but can someone help me understand this.

If you are unable to sell / trade silver with players, why would the goldsellers
still spam chats, and does anyone actually buy it?

Or am I missing something here.

Any respectable company would have had already put a simple spam filter in place . This literary takes 5 minutes to write, tho why do that when you can wave your finger at the spammer and threaten them with “permanent bans” as if that ever worked and they have never expected it to come in the first place.

Phishing sites, preying on gullible players.

Do both: limit the number of character and cooldown of the megaphone accordingly to the character level.

Megaphone abuse by spammers must be stopped. I fully support the OP.

Yet it didn’t even stop goldsellers in b2p games with subscription. Your both points are moot. These guys are not newbies in the trade. Money is not a problem for them. They probably have more money than we think they do. The most effective way is still to have some sort of chat restriction, anything that gives them longer downtime, AND stepping up on enforcement; active GMs to start banning them and not wait hours for something to even happen. I have seen the same goldseller happily spamming for a day with nothing being done to him.
