So why can't we trade?

The literally only thing this does is screw your average player over. It’s ridiculous.

What’s even the point of being in a party when your party member gets the item that you’ve been farming for?

And making NEW players wait for SEVEN days to trade is just HORRIBLE for us and even worse for you guys. So imagine that you’re a new player right? You’re playing with your friends and bam you get a super rare sword. Instead of being able to give it to your swordsman friend you get to… vendor it. Fun.

So, do you guys, that are trying to make money off of this game, right? I mean, that’s the whole idea here, isn’t it? Do you think that these new players will stick around? I don’t. I had 2 of my friends quit the game just today, and i’ll probably follow them because playing alone is just plain boring, especially in a game like this one.

I mean at the very LEAST allow us to trade an item that dropped within a couple of minutes with our party members.

So let me tell you how to run your business in a more profitable manner. You let players trade with eachother and you remove this stupid 7 day CRIPPLE.

You see, new players are the most important ones, the ones that you should be trying to get hooked on your game, not piss them off with BS like this.

It’s literally impossible for a new player to be competitive in this game because hey, can’t use the market either… for SEVEN days.

I’m just astonished.

7 days, omg. much long…

I dont think that’s even an IMC restriction, that’s a valve/steam policy. Much long…

Well in the game launch we dont have any kind of trade. And we live with that for nore than a month. 7 days is nothing

I think doesn’t even affect bots at all. Can’t they just create the account and let it rest for 7 days before starting?

The only thing that these restrictions do is making players quit and I fear that a few friends mine who HAVEN’T started yet would quit as well as soon as they found out about it… I’m hoping for a change as well.

jup same as durability, total terrible. Can’t even lone a weapon to a friend without making it untradable in the process lol.

Just like when the servers were ‘closed’ these passed couple weeks, we had constant botting activity because botters had hundreds of throwaway accounts already created.

Can I volunteer for bot cleanup duty, IMC?

At game launch it wouldn’t have mattered anyway, what stupid logic.

Why would valve have ANY influence over their in game item market at all? Omg omg omg stupid much?

A new player can’t even begin to be ‘competitive’ in this game until they’ve hit Rank 7 (Lv 220-ish) anyway, which can’t be achieved within 7 days unless they shift in at least 12 hours of gameplay a day focused solely on leveling while following a guide… and that’s no fun, right?

Sure that’s fun. Fun is a subjective subject. You can’t possibly dictate what another person would find fun. I find leveling fast and reaching end game as fast as possible fun. You might enjoy doing all the little things you can do (Map exploration, monster grinding mini-quests and such) to be fun, i dont. i should not have to wait for 7 days in any game to be able to trade my valuable items, right?

It’s literally crippling new players. People are complaining about a dying player base already, so maybe you should see past your own opinions and face the facts here? This is killing the player base, thus - as a business, they should change it and they should do it fast. Two of my friends already quit the game because they can’t trade the items they get. It’s a bit stupid when my ranger friend gets a two handed sword that he’s not allowed to trade it with the swordsman that he’s partied with. And if you disagree then it’s just blatant ignorance.

Fair enough.

Actually, if you’d search around on the forums for the entire month of June or look at recent negative Steam reviews, you’d see that the wait-time on using Trading and the Market is near the bottom of the complaints list. No one’s actually quitting over that; it’s just an annoyance. The real issues is the games current client optimization and lack of end-game content (Which funny enough, you would consider it fun to rush towards within a week).

This topic is also a good example of that. If you look at one of the other complaint topics over something, it usually has dozens of different replies within 24 hours if it’s an actual issue, while over here, me and you take up half of the thread. I’m not saying the 7-day waiting list is a good thing, but if something like this would actually cause someone to leave the game before it was lifted, then unfortunately this game wasn’t for them.
