So, why can WoW run with those many ppl at the same time and ToS struggles with just 20?

I have Nvidia driver and can confirm this game runs like dog shat on my laptop. Never had such huge FPS drops in any game before this one.

Because game is coded like ■■■■

Also WoW and ToS are run by Blizzard and IMC respectively, which are equally large companies with similar revenue streams and more then adequate manpower to handle big game.

Owait.

You should use a more modern game as an example.

I can tell you, there’s a big difference in the quality of a f2p game to a p2p game.
In p2p the quality is there because they think about the game first rather than the cosmetics for example,If one month, the sales didn’t do well and money is need to keep the server up, what do you think they are going to spend their resources on? Making costumes or fixing bugs and adding new game feature?

I’m repeating this over and over but I don’t think IMC is going to change it ways.

World of Warcraft have years of experience, their developers, the ones who are actually in the team, and the ones who have left, certainly did some optimization in the game, looking for making the game more stable.

I believe one of the optimizations they did was about how the characters scripts refresh themselves, like scripts to check the player’s status everytime and other things may deteriotate slowly the game’s performance.

Is kind of like… Getting the time needed to run the update script of a character, and multiplying by the number of players, that can lead to reduction of fps.

IMC has made other games as well.

If you compare something more recent like let’s say Final Fantasy XIV and Ragnarok Online 2. They are both new and they both redid their game because of the mass bugs and glitches. Both was done by a well known companies that was establish and has experience in the past but one was P2P and the other was P2W…I mean F2P. Which one had a better gameplay, graphics, etc? It’s obvious.

Yeah… and if you actually read the thread (which I contributed to btw), it comes down to netcoding issues. The fact that this game utilizes directx means it utilizes your GPU, derp.

The ignorance is surreal here.

That’s not the game not using GPU. That’s the issue of everything stopping when it waits for network packets.

Sadly it looks like this.

The problem is that this game have realy old servers. They need a resrt more that once a week.
After a reset the game works good for 4 days then 3 more days its geting lagy by the hour.
