The servers didnt sorted it self. People just stoped playing.
It is actually better than expectation.
Many peoples could buy the package on last minute so IMC has miscalculated that. The EA sales really help to figure out the required server resource.
As far as I know, the server is high spec enough to carter such massive load of traffics, else it would be downed probably.
I donāt think it is server functionality issue, but it was just traffic congestion, as you see it merely queue and request-response-delay.
They do have a backup server of EU, but in the next day it seem only more peoples buying EA package on last minute and everything out of expectation.
I witnessed new launch of popular game like Dragon Nest, Diablo 3 and RO2, all these were super mess on first day of launch. It canāt compare with low popularity games that <10k of players.
Itās an expressionā¦
You know ots BS. A bigone at this
The first day was a disaster. Unbearable lags, delays for pots, quests, teleportationā¦ Not fun at all.
That being said, I still believe ToS is an amazing one of a kind game and I know it will succeed. IMC in general is trying to please its playerbase on certain aspects and it shows, plus the compagny doesnāt have that much experience in publishing so I think we shouldnāt be too hard on them.
IMC, as a new paying customer of your company, I see you as an attentive developper and publisher and I have faith in you. Fix these server/latency issues quickly and make sure it does not happen again. People love your game and WANT to stick to it, so donāt disappoint them!
It was to expect that there are some lags xD and Iām sure, most of the bugs wonāt occure once the servers are stable.
At least I got my prefered name and could play till Lv.37 and yes, I had problems with lags und some bugs, but as long as you are in areas with only a few people itās manageable. Just donāt be stupid enough to login at primetime.
No one is hard on them. People demand basic game play to work for the money they payed here.
Its not a f2p game at this point. As long as you pay money you can demand the good to be working as well.
I just meant that we need to give them some time, as long as they know how serious this matter is to us. They must find a way to fix it. Permanently.
Yes but we need to let them know.if not they will not fix it.
Iām very happy with this game. Iāve been playing for more than 4 hours with a party with a couple of friends and had no issues with bugs or high ping even when Iām in Europe.
I have still the founders pack in the inbox because I think they are going to open new servers in a couple of weeks but I think I can redeem in a few days but Iām afraid of the future lag with the overpopulation but right now itās fine.
2 characters, lvl 16 and lvl 25 and keep growing
more betaās to get it right? lol tf no how many betas have they had now? i paid 50 bucks and it wasnt so they could retract for another beta gtfo. trade system in this game is the worst trade system i have ever seen in any game ever of all time. and i have played pretty much every MMO/MMORPG out there. the unstability i kinda expected im not to mad about that cause i mean come on its just opening i expected no less. but this trade system is not ok it needs to go it is ruining this game. but the rest of the game i enjoyed. i love the cosmetic items for sale #cantwaitformore i love how there was a new starting point as i played the beta and did not want to start in klep. allllllllll over again i have done it too many times. i dont really like the token idea because of the trade limits that exist within it other then that i dont mind it tho id prefer a monthly sub then having to keep buying a token over an over or a token that last a few months an what not. but over all the game is fun its fresh its cosmetically brilliant. the combat is nice(the archer has the best fluid combat movement) i play a full healer. it is possible to out tank monsters to kill them xD and i dont mind it. but that is my first impression of this launch. please for god sakes i hope IMC stops with all the trade restrictions it will only hinder this game. some restrictions are okay but they took it way to far u cant even trade items for silver!!! #NOTcool not gonna lie that one makes me irritated the most. but yes thats MY first impression of this release client. others will obviously vary. oh one more thing the MARKET is total crap! 30 minutes to 2 hours to appear on market board then when it FINALLY SELLS u have to way 48 hours to receive the money i wont even use it unless the items are hella expensive its not worth it otherwise so fix that to imc its the worst market system i have ever seen. i dont mind the tax but lol that wait aint worth it. its like u want people to get fustrated an quit xD so yes today i was severely dissapointed even more since i paid 50 bucks. but it will all be worth it if they fix that crap
they made an āenterā key for a reason.
Any real MMOer also knows launch issues arent usually related to premium content. Which in this case with the locking of teamnames and the founders pack is the case.
Wasnāt bad. Iām reluctant to do this over again for a second character thoughā¦
Iām lukewarm on the game tbh, which is sad as I wanted to love it. There are game breaking bugs for some people (not myself). Iāve been āstuckā many times on porting, waiting a few mins seems to clear that up.
Not being able to freely change your team name was a pretty poor decision, especially when youāre advised at the time of creation that you can change it in game. A lot of games warn players of such choices, not passively encourage them to perhaps make mistakes that will cost them to sort out. Itās the same with skills tbh. While having skill reset as a cash option is fine and common in these type of games, most games include a one time reset option or explain the classes and how they work together much better than TOS does. Sure itās not a problem for someone following the game for months, planning their character, but the average F2P gamer doesnt. That sort of stuff bothers me more than the bugs at launch as itās insight into how the game is going to be managed (which is little thought to longevity).
So he pays money for a product, doesnāt get it the way he was promised (working) and itās his fault?
If you pay for something, you should get it. You know what happens in the real world when you buy something that doesnāt meet the stated expectations? You get a replacement/refund.
I think it was a bad call to release only 2 servers at launch.
But they are making up for that mistake and listening to community requests.
So keep up the good work, IMC.
Everything went as expected.
Lag
Annoyed that I canāt cast my spells as a supporting Priest
Lag clears up a littleā¦
Lag
Servers start to stabilize
Level 66
Day one
Why would anyone even consider using premium items in a pre-open beta phaseā¦? Save it for later when stuff is stable and working as it should to get the 100% out of the items.
