What’s the purpose of character name?
And why does it cost TP now? (played Beta)
I don’t play Steam games often, so I want to see the worth of getting steam points to buy TP (is that correct?) because I think it’s kind of dumb to pay 9TP for a character name change you don’t even see much in game if not at all ’ _ ’ )

I always felt a little bad about the team name being used in chat and stuff. Sorta takes that personalized feeling away that I always got from my characters in MMORPGs.

Like, what’s the point of the character name if you don’t even see it??? If I don’t know why, then I’m going to think buying character name change is stupid and greedy >A<) ugh I wish I knew before leveling my main, since it was free in Beta.
Edit* Hope they change the character name change requirement, I know it’s just 9TP, but still don’t see the point to it having to be paid for…
It makes sense in Asian countries where people usually call you by your last name, but for western people it’s really weird.
It’s ONLY 9TP !!
If you wait and stock up on your 5 free TP then it only costs 4TP that you paid for.
And for something that you absolutely don’t need. I think that’s more than a fair price. Let’s be reasonable here. If you paid full price for it… it’s like what a $1? Less than that? Are you seriously crying about paying $1 or less?
I’m not really crying so much on it, it just seems kind of weird to pay for a name you’ll almost never see. It’s like buying a pebble to replace that one pebble on your ground. Unless it was a super awesome pebble that stood out and you can show off to people, ok.
I was already planning to buy it when I get to lvl50, I just wanted to see if anyone knew a reason or have thoughts why TOS would put a price on character names that plays no importance? (We’re constantly referred as the revelator in stories, most people set their UI to view only team name, talking uses team name only) Can you see the name at least visiting Lounge?
But I guess I’ll just take Raven answer, even if it was a little rude.
I don’t know what is the propose of the character name too.
I am concerned that why change the team name needs 150 TP…its very expensive.
The Token now is 99 TP for 1 month game play benefit.
Whats the team name do?
I understand the team name since it represent your entire server name and who you are in the system. Team name is shared throughout your party name, friend list, chat log, and basically like your identity in game, if not more. The price is probably more to avoid people spamming name change.
By the way; Who plays with the character name shown with team name? Some people name is long, so I turn it off to avoid text clutter e_e) (I wish there was show character name only, then I’d feel better)
