So what is IMC stance on stat reset pot after this game officially launched?

Title,

I think some of the community want it to be available but gated with tp purchase and some don’t

Seeing that a lot of people complaining with logical reason, like that the game is ever-changing, and that it’s a no brainer that in a game with more than 400 lvl there would be some significant changes they surely need some reset scroll

so after all that debate what is IMC stance really? I need to know if me and my friend need to research this game thoroughly first even before we jump into this or we can just play for fun and if we decided we wanna go hardcore then we can fix it without rerolling our character

personally I think the addition of stat reset would be great because then anybody, casual and hardcore alike can play without research first but some argue that it will not be fair ( I don’t even know why because I haven’t played this game yet )

The argument is that you could level as an easy build, for example high int or str characters, then reset to a specialty build, such as a very high con build.

My personal thought is that they have already opened this “problem” to the public as the best buy in provides said potion.

Also, as you had stated, new players will make their mistakes and the game is likely to experience change as they add 320 levels of content.

Personally, I support reset items in full, but make the cost significant and restrict the frequency of purchase.

I really want a stockish system were once a month you can only buy 1 stat reset, but if you have one already, you won’t be allowed to buy another one, this way you can’t stack it.

ohh…that is indeed a logical reason too…I didn’t even think about it

but yeah, I think the suggestion using TP as a mean to reset stat and skill (even with higher than normal price) should be allowed not only because the game itself (400++ level with more than 11 rank? i guess) but also because each update will maybe make some stat/skill combination non-viable

that is a good solution! especially for people who argue that using stat/skill reset is cheating or p2w because you can deal with any kind of situation

Well tbh most MMOs I’ve played so far usually gives stat resets and skill resets after specific job advances o.o

What if a person decides they seriously want to change it because they messed up. What, you want them to just start over on a level 200+ char they spent hours playing? They might just end up stop playing instead.

So the real question is; Do you wanna risk losing player base because a small portion of the player base wants to have an optimal end game? Or would you rather the resets be behind a pay wall, so we can actually invest in the game and promote growth?

yes, that’s also my experience with past mmorpg like iRO and seal online, where stat distribution really matter for progression

I also think that people that already invested 200++ char and forced to reroll would just quit.

I really want IMC staff to tell us their opinion on this and why they decided to kill reset stat potion :\

personallly i think if you havent done your research, thats your fault.
researching hours and hours reading on forums, on skill sim, reading mechs is a part of the game too. everything is already given to you to know every class, though i suggest you specialize in only 1-2.

the point of end game stats is that they might not be good in the beginning, but pays off later. if you use a stat pot to make everything easier it lightens the importance of your decisions.

even when lvl 400+ is released you wont change your stats by much. you will have to keep going your build and adapting. a int mage wont go str or dex.
the only difference is that there might be a new class you would like to try so you may want to make a new character.

I can sort of agree/disagree with your opinion but like most of my friend not many people is here to build a perfect build, they want a build that can works well to hit level that they thought is enough to pursue and then either continue to being a hardcore (needed a reset stat/skill) or just leave the game…the problem here is that without any reset then that route of becoming a hardcore for some player would be too much and they will just leave the game and making the game itself suffer as the consequences

I also agree that if you want to make a new class then you have to reroll no matter what, it’s stupid to let people maining 1 character if they can try all different class because then there would be no people except new player and bot in the low lvl zone

thats why i prefer end game classes. classes that scale or are relevant in end game.
well, this isnt a class build discussion, its a stat build discussion.
the thing is you need to plan your build even before you play, that way from level one you know which stat u need. stats are secondary in importance and come from knowing which build you are going. honestly if you have a good class build, you cant mess up stats unless if you purposefully choose str as a int wizard or something

if you try to play without a build, a stat plan, or any research, you might have fun in the beginning, but end game you will suffer, then complain.

i think this game is like a competition to build the best or coolest boat, and whoever floats wins.

I think painful build path has its rewards in the end game. I do not want to see a game where everyone just go damage and reset at later.
It’s like choosing a faster leveling job although it will be terrible end game. If we can change our job later everyone will go for it.

Think of RO earlier days, those dex/lux smith, Vit Knights. If everyone can go STR AGI early and change it later, why would anyone waste their time on it.

For all these reasons, I disagree on stats reset potion. it is very attractive/tempting I agree.

Btw, IMC did mentioned that popolion hat and the other hat, and the stats reset will not be a tp purchasable item in their Dlc pack post.
