So... Shinobi is useless now without Bushin?

At the first months of the game, I saw “no Bushin” Shinobi as very weak, but still powerfull, since he had ONE of the most high damage hit.
(Mijin No Jutsu could do easily 15k on hit, without multiplies, only with atributes).

Now with Rank 8 this 15 K on a hit is nothing, even without multiplies, and the Katon and Kunai are even more sad when comes to Damage.

So without* Bushin, the Shinobi just has become more useless than already was on the beggining (I mean, is much much more now), or did I missed something???

Sadly they’ve always been useless without Bunshin when it comes to damage. IMC needs to revisit hidden classes and give them C2 and C3. Then a Shinobi C2 wouldn’t be far behind other rank 8 classes without Bunshin.

If they’re not far behind other R8 classes without bunshin, wouldn’t they be OP with bunshins? I mean even now they can burst bosses in under a minute.

not if the damage was divided between the clones.

for now, Katon, Mijin and Kunai are very weak even in comparison with Rank 7 classes.

IMO hidden classes should be stronk. I mean it takes some people weeks of camping to complete the quest so the reward should be hefty. I’m not saying they should give C2 16K base damage skills, or even 8K damage skills, but surely something better than 500 damage. So many possibilities are available that fits Shinobi theme. Poison, sneak attacks, extra crits, more dodge, more clones, just to name a few.

every build of shinoby ar based on use bushins. highlander3, hopli2-3 or pelta/rodel 2-3 every with toy hammer or a brandish for hopli…

think to take shinobi without any of tis is like chose rune caster without wizz3

This is the logic right here. Though I know @Stormrider has a highlander 3 Shinobi.

What I don’t understand from everyone is that highlander is not good enough?
In my playing of the game Highlander still excels well into the higher levels of gameplay (boss killing). It just requires you to invest. Sure its not the over the top rank 8 damage but that is to be expected.

Do people even utilize the damage burst of Crossguard debuff + Kunai? That literally duplicates Kunais hits. Not to mention the uninhibited damage because of Skullswings armor break. This is without bunshin, now add bunshin and you have stupid burst potential.

Edit: @Stormrider I’m a bit iffy on the whole adding more circles to hidden classes. Hidden classes are/should be niche, like they have been so far. I would rather them just get more attributes.

Though we do focus on a single circle and add more circles to make that favored circle better, we should remember that a single circle does not define or label our character. Shinobi, Murmillo, Dragoon… they’re just the jobs our characters have taken in their adventures to better themselves, not what they are labeled as.

untill moulinet was bursted, the better combo is crow+bunshin+moulinet. but i think u have enough time to do a full rotation with kunai and moulinete. higlander looks like some in the middle of the meta shinobi combo.

hoplita burst with kunais because clones dont copi any hopli skill.

rodel/pelta+ shinobi,murmillo. burst with pelta/rodel skills because dont have any pierce bonus damage.

high lander. burst with bot kunais and highlander skills.

maybe the last kind of combo is the basic atack burst. with corsair 3 the clones will deal 2weapons asault (?)

Synchro thrusting gets copied.

Clones don’t get DWA last I checked.

Personally, I think that shinobi needs some fine tuning like pretty much every hidden class.

i have a RC and a chaplain. i think the only nice hiden is miko, others are just 1 skill or a rank fillers
