So seriously how is a support even needed in this game

Not sure if people are just more mean on the EU server but I never had trouble finding a party in any of the grind spot.

And my build was wiz 2 which if you didn’t know is basically useless when it comes to actual contribution.

As someone who hit max level on last iCBT:

  • I soloed all my game, but I drank probably over millions worth of potions.

  • Most of them SP potions.

  • I had to sit next to a campfire for hours in total.

  • Dungeons need healers or are insanely slow.

I don’t think EU server is more mean
befriended a few ppl yesterday (all really nice) and helped them with their quests
I prefer to play with others than rush all the content alone anyway

Am currently a lvl 63 support Cleric2/Dievdirby1. Stats for int:spr:con are distributed in the ratio 3:1:1.

Yes it is hard to play as support, I’ve soloed 90% of the time, used only lvl1 & 2 exp cards and keeping all the lvl3s. Have only 1 attack skill which is Dievdirby’s Carve attack which I’ll keep at lvl1 all the way (added a point to that skill so I can level easier). Auto attacks at str 7 deals pitiful damage, around 30-40 damage per hit.

However hard it is, there is still some silver lining on the cloud in terms of how support clerics solo. Here are some tips which I find really useful in levelling a support character.

  1. Save $$$ and buy the cheapest high attack lvl40 weapon on the marketplace (mallet sucks). Get a warhammer if you can. Prior to level 40, clerics will just have to make do with their auto attack/heal/cure. Heal will tide you thru the levels 20-30+.

Upgrade the lvl40 to +4/5 asap. They increase quite a fair bit of damage.

  1. Some quests give armor as rewards, look out for those armors with +str, +dex or +accuracy. They help a lot in your auto attack in the beginning levels. Even till now I’m still using them, only swap them out when I’m in a dungeon party as a dedicated healer.

  2. Invest some points in heal +dmg% attribute. They work wonders in increasing your damage output.

  3. Bookmark this – http://www.tosbase.com/database/monsters/?name=&order=Level&type=All&race=All&element=Dark&armor=All&size=All&search=search

Our heals are light element and deal double damage to dark element monsters. Most of the time I’ll try to find maps with dark element, grounded monsters so I can farm them a lot easier.

Gigi, I spoke to you before but seeing how heavy spirit builds are being recommended here to you and knowing your planning to go chaplain, I am going to share something on Int vs spirit i posted elsewhere ( I sent you a friend request on Femidian btw. name is Quyn) :

There is a fair amount of misconception here regarding Int and spirit for Chaplain.

If you decide to go spirit build, be aware that you are giving up
massive amounts of damage in order to get a stronger stone skin.

Only Intellect and Strength benefit from class rank 10% stat boost per class rank.
By the time you hit rank 7, that is a 70% stat difference between spirit and intellect.

Intellect scales all your healing skills and also your aspersion damage.

Spirit scales your stone skin, aspersion and mass heal and you will be severely lacking in damage.

Suggesting people should be going high spirit builds without telling them what exactly that entails, is misleading.

Intellect and Strength are the only stats which receive the rank bonus of 10% per rank.

I am Priest level 75 and its being fun playing this role :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. I use blessing 24/7 because at level 50> and above money for the buff is not an issue, seriously. I always buy 110 of blessing component, 20 aspersion and 20 sacrament, all around 4000 silver, which doesnt bother me as i always got thrash equipment to vendor with 1000> worth of silver. Soloed all the way with occasional party. If you dont have cafrisun set yet, go get it. its easy with 100% drop rate and its worthed to hear the attack sound go all machine gun :smiling_imp:. Also get Five Hammer because of its AoE and fix attack. Its level 40 weapon and i still use it to this point. already max out blessing attributes and almost all priest attributes. Right now i have 335000 silver ( I almost always complete kill count from level 60 and below, once the monsta get stronger at higher level just complete the one with 120< kill count. below 100 is a must).

tl;dr: This class is great for soloing and partying. Get cafrisun set and Five Hammer, acheive doable kill count, and up blessing all the time when farming. You wont have trouble with exp and silver

Arent they the one and the same? They both raise dead people.

full support is useless in half of random dungeons/missions.

*#^% 2 cryo/chrono, 2 cleric/diev, 1 linker/chrono parties. I’d rather have healerless party that chug hp pots.

you are playing the game wrong

clearly cleric tree is meant to be PVP facemelter and not trashy PVE support
