OK, I have to jump in here because people either forget or donāt know.
You CAN go INT with a support priest. SPR (is my preference for a support priest but) isnāt mandatory. Hereās why.
[heal]'s damage is
matk + skill damage = (weapon matk + INT) + (skill damage + INT)
That means every healing tile does 2x INT per hit. Add to this the fact that [heal] hits 2x per tile means the damage you deal from [heal] takes 4x your INT per tile. The healing part is self explanatory.
[aspersion] is tagged as āmagicā and all magic (unless specifically stated otherwise) will scale with INT by default.
[aspersion]'s damage
matk + skill damage = (weapon matk + INT) + (skill damage + SPR)
[mass heal] scales from BOTH INT and SPR
[mass heal]'s additional heal
skill healing + INT + SPR
Here is where SPR becomes mandatory BUT does not require you go full SPR.
[monstrance] applies a debuff to def and eva but you canāt actually aim it. Itās a random tile in front of you that your party members can only step on so you donāt really take the skill for that. You take it for 10+30% dex party buff (which doesnāt have anything to do with SPR).
[stone skin] is SPR x 4. Itās really good but doesnāt require full blown SPR build. Iām still holding off on this because itās just screaming ānerf meā.
So bottomline: INT priests are very much a valid choice stat-wise.
