pve c3 lander
But I want to be 2-handed… guess the game about “Freedom of choice” is going to continue not practicing what it promised us.
2 handed starts to become nice at 170 with Magi 2H Sword.
But when dealing with plate types catacombs blade really does a lot.
In the case of 2hand. Go h2-b2-doppel2
Once you get to doppelsoldner things change a lot. DoV is amazing, and we all know what cyclone is

There’s an idea… I love the Doppelsoldner outfit too. Yeah I will do this instead of H3 and Barb 3. I just saw cyclone and went “Wot?” Wot is good, I like wot.
because of sky linear nerf in iToS i think
swordman c1 > lander c1 > babarian c2 or c3 have better dps
but who knows they may change it back later
There is an attribute to allow you to move while in cyclone…
+it is overcharge
Highlander I would see more of the defensive of the three available 2H classes. So their abilities are more about channeling, knockdowns and good setups.
Barbarian is basically meant to be played recklessly and Doppelsoldner is the sacrificing your def for power
Also: Plate mastery or Leather master?

Are you forgetting about Skull Swing? Y’know, the skill that decreases all PDef to 0 for 30 seconds under a 40 second cooldown when 5/5? That’s a massive boon boost when it comes to bossing and tough enemies.
Cyclone is one of the skills that keep swordes even moderately afloat.
I’d say for a Doppel build I’d go H3>Barb1>Doppel2 is extremely solid especially when Barb gets it’s bonus to Slash damage, but I’d say H2>Barb2>Doppel2 is more of a utility DPS typing and could also work out. Personally I’d rather the former than the latter though.
Yes i am making a pve boss killer dragoon right now s1-p1-h3-doppel. Have 2 more class levels to get goon.
My second sword going s1-p1-barb3-doppel2 however. Doppel two skill i have heard are not that good. But i can immagine DOV level 8 is 100% uptime which will bring nice dps at the cost of being -80% block.
@FlanFlan leather as dean said. However, there is a point made for cloth. Since high level mobs are all magic and cloth gives you magic def, but idk i have not got balls to try that
You can go for both
Its good to have this 2 attribute max so you can switch to fit what your current map need, also you only need around 100 dex and leather attribute to be significant in dodge
You should have 2 type of armor for armor type for example if your current map elite mob is hit type ,then change to leather for 25% reduce which is alot better than +50% when you wear plate (you only need to change your top for armor type)
But if you go full str or high con then go for plate
Ths is why I went c3 highlander. Its skills interacts with each other. Cross cut > skyliner and skull swing > vertical slash.
I put only level 1 on both cross cut and skull swing cause I’m not sure if their debuffs will also go up when leveled.
Concentrate is bad for very mutihit class like cosair with it hexxendropper.
Better go with gungho and trade some concentrate point for lvl 3 knockdown bash.
Lvl 2 concentrate can still do decent with max attribute 107 damage… but only for 7 hit.
Still they really need to fix. It sad to see you learning a skill which is a buff and it became obselete later like a pointless buff.
Not anymore~~
Now skyliner has cd and overheat (yay).
I think with the changes in kToS, (assuming we get all of them, which I really hope we do - as well as reverting our nerf to Skyliner that made it a shitty skill), either going HL1Barb3 or HL3Barb1 are both viable. HL2 Barb2 might still be alright, but I think with how good Pouncing became, and how good Skull Swing always was, you give up a lot of your boss killing potential.
Actually concentrate hit count only decreases with the first hit of a multihit skill, so it works best with skills like Hexen Dropper.
Imc, pls also buff the other classes in need of buffs… sincerely, a sad sadhu
