Tree of Savior Forum

So i bought a couple battle bracelets in the market since they were going cheap and crashing, now my money and items will be removed without me actually "exploiting?"

am i reading this correctly? what happens to the people who exploited the dpk drops, put them into market and got silver out of it? nothing? they will have no trace of the items on their account only silver obtained from innocent players

if i log in tomorrow with the battle bracelets I PURCHASED FAIRLY ON THE MARKET to be gone AND my money to also be missing…

there has not BEEN ONE TIME since release of this game that an exploit was handled properly

all prior exploits - sorry we cant do anything unless you make a forum thread with proof of pictures AND get 100 replies and MAYBE we will ban that one person youre complaining about but everyone else who exploited will be safe

now - ok if you hold any of these items they will be removed, no mention of what would happen to the innocent players that bought said-items in the market with their own hard earned silver…

-logs in
-“dude battle bracelets are going cheap they are dropping more often!”
-nows my chance finally after 13 months!!!
-withdraws 80% of my total owned silver and purchases some battle bracelets
-all my money gone, items gone

thanks imc great “event” yet again, youre better off doing nothing like youve always been doing since every other mishap, once again the cheaters win and the innocent pay for it

IMC makes mistakes, players get punished. Nothing new, move along.

Not that this makes you feel better, but I read it as they were reviewing logs to see who exploited. Maybe I just have too much faith they will do it right? But I see your point swaaz

I’m not sure their “deletion of items so that an account will only have one of that item left” extends to market purchases. I guess we’ll find out!

if they remove the silver from exploited accounts that sold the items (and made sure the accounts were not affiliated with each other checking their ips and/or chat logs which wont actually happen due to the man power needed to do so) but let the players that bought said-items in the market who did not actually exploit or get any of the drops themselves then color me amazed but with this sort of thing always happening atleast once every 3 months or so and imc always screwing it up and damaging the innocent players more than the exploiters then i doubt anything here will matter and we will be forced yet again to get royally fked without them even buying us dinner first.

You’ll need to wait for the game to be up to be 100% sure, but:

“Accounts that have obtained more than 2 of the items with unusual drop rates will be temporarily blocked for retrieval purposes.
These players will be unblocked as soon as the retrieval process is complete.
This will only extend to those who did not trade the item via personal trading, the market or use the item to craft other items.”

So they’ll normally check the logs and see HOW you got the item.
If you got it directly from the Galoks, they’ll retrieve it.
But if you simply bought it from the AH or other players, they won’t take them back from you.

But those who farmed them and then sold a lot of them should be punished in some way I guess since they also stated “However, please note that players who have used this chance to try to exploit and profit from it by conducting massive trade etc shall be punished accordingly.”

Basically, the buyers shouldn’t be punished, only the farmers and sellers.

if they have a system to check for this then i have no problem with it

keep in mind though ive played since beta and i stand by what ive said

every single mishap (whether that be an exploit or an event gone wrong) was not handled properly ONCE and EVERY time something happens there was ALWAYS more damage dealt to the innocent players than the guilty.

this is fact.

I get your point, but actually you’re not that innocent, you bought them knowing they were dropping thanks to a bug, but they already stated on their post that they aren’t going to remove items that were pucharsed from the market/trade, but will take measure against people who abused it.

I hope this isn’t the case. I didn’t know that DPK was ■■■■■■ yesterday until i saw the forums late in the day and I bought a few sought after monster gems off market to re-sell.

You can’t assume he knew it was an exploit. I just figured that with the reset event more people were now farming items to get ready for r9.

When something is too good to be true is normally wrong or illegal. #whenrealityhits

Hard to tell if you are a victim or an abuser, but in any case the logs would reflect if you took part on actual exploiting of the drop rates.

I highly doubt they would punish people that just browsed the AH without realizing they were buying stolen good. On the other hands is hard to prove who bought them while having knowledge of the bug and those who didnt.

In the case you get the hammer, this could make funny instead of frustrating

You got IMC’d, nothing new, move along.
