So how exactly am i supposed to progress?

Finally got around to playing , and got to level 10~, and currently in crystal mines.
I apparently have a simple quest to just get a few drop s from a mob on floor 1. But i can not actually get the drop because for some reason you hitting a mob isn’t enough for you to atleast obtain quest drops from it, and its very hard for me to actually kill anything with that area being full of warriors and archers, and i just can’t kill anything fast enough to get the drop for myself.

On top of that i have people telling me that its better to just raw grind than to do quests anyways. So what is the best way to move forward?

The quests will do what they can for you.
The rest of the content is 100% grind your arse into the ground.

It is a mmorpg, grinding comes with the package.

I hit this wall as well, I found out that in the mining town, once you finish up the main quest, 2 soldiers spawn in the middle and they have repeatable quests (up to 5 and 10 times) that give you 2 lvl 2 cards each. This should get you to lvl 15 so you can get a new weapon and class advancement. Hope this helps.
