So.... Guys what do you like about the game?

We all know that TOS has some Huge flaws but we also have reasons to keep playing, so what do you like the most about the game?

The stuff that i like about the game is:

  • The class system, It’s fun the try new builds in the skill simulator.

  • The music, I really like the music.

  • The Art Style.

  • The level design(I like the Level design here, sorry if you disagree e.e)

  • I kinda like the story

  • And I like the Atmosphere that the game involve us with// Mystery, Medzio Diena, The fact that we are adventurers that need to rescue the goddess(They really tried to make an epic Lore for this game.)

So what do you like about the game? What keeps you playing

Class build exploration.

Both the Art and Music, the best parts of the game are not done by IMC but subcontracted out. Lmao

I really like that your character feels powerful by itself and that gearing up is much easier than in other MMOs.

Compare it to Ragnarok - you took ages to get a character to have decent gear, making money was almost impossible if you weren’t MVP hunting; getting end game weapons like Ice Pick, multi-carded +10 Composite Bow, etc took months and months of gathering money. The gap between very good and decent gear was enourmous and even with decent gear you couldn’t solo harder things in the game. Soloing/2-manning a multi-million HP boss was restricted to the 2-3 big guild leaders with 2 Megingjards.

In ToS you can get a character up and running from ground 0 till the practonium questline in less than a month. You can make basic (very good) gear sets in a day (Grynas, wich lasts up till ET gear). Partying is much more “let’s speed up things” than “well it’s impossible to do this without a party” before tevhrin and the likes. Only at 300+ your character will be taking more than 1/5th of it’s life with a single hit, and even then ToS has so many immunity/cheesy mechanics that it’s not a big deal. The gap between 315 purple and 315 orange isn’t as great as good to excellent gear in other MMOs. Getting a 315 weapon is a matter of being luck with the practo box, it just eventually happens. You can easily make 2m+ a day with just a few alts, wich over the span of a month gives you enough money to gear up to the teeth any character.

Also leveling in ToS is much faster than any other MMO. Giving that leveling is still incomplete, let’s compare it to the original 99 on Ragnarok - it took months, years to get to 99. On ToS you can get to 330 in 2 weeks with a new character if you are already stabilished in the game.

TL;DR: ToS is a casual MMO.

I like the Legend of Mana tier art style.
The Combat when it works. RIP Sorc
The Many Classes.
The EXP Cards and tons of Quest to minimize mindless grind.

  • The art (both character and environment). I’m always attracted by the looks first, mechanics comes in second xD. I actually have a lot of pretty screenshots and character artworks stored in my laptop xD

  • The storyline: It’s good and it has depth, although sometimes it’s painfully extreme. Like, do they really need to have that many people killed… Not to mention the tortured spirits and such LOL.

  • Class & skill system. Lots of stuff are still buggy or need improving, yup, but the basic design isn’t bad.

Gotta admit that I might have quit the game already if I didn’t play it with my mates tho - FPS really hates on me. But together we’re still enjoying it so far, so I’m gonna stick around for a while to see whether things get better eventually :'D

The sheer versatility of characters. You can play as whoever you want, whenever you feel like it. Classic mounted lancers? Catagoons are for you. S’PLOSIONS? Pyromancers can cater to you. Want to be a B56 bomber aircraft raining down terror on your enemies? Well there’s the Scout-Falconer flying barrel trick.

The game is actually enjoyable as long as you play at your own pace and stay away from the competitive side of things as well as the cancerous community.

  • This game is for hardcore players.

  • IMC doesnt release info about class, future class, hidden combos and thats why there is no meta. You are always in fear that when the new rank comes out you will be imc’ed.

  • TP has almost no useful things since it is full of aesthetics.

  • Go meta or GTFO

  • Metawhores

  • Elitists

  • Botting is legal

  • Accomodating staff

What I like most?

The relation between TOS and Tree of Forums. Though TOF is more funny than TOS, it needs the drama generated by IMC’s abuse of TOS.
