Small Suggestion about Likes!

As the title says, pretty small suggestion here, but I’ve come to notice that you can’t like a person more than once, once you’ve liked them.

So my suggestion would be, you know, giving players a way to give the same player a like multiple times.

Possibly with an internal cooldown added so there aren’t hundreds of hearts on your screen every second.
It should also be noted that multiple likes from a single person would only count as 1 Like Received, else I could see some people reeeally abusing this system!

I just wanna give my friends little hearts for every dungeon clear we do and such! Heh! :smile:

as satisfying giving out likes is, i wouldnt want the inflated value, i prefer that you can only get one like from each person, so having 100 unique likes seem more significant than having 1000 likes, from like 5 people

As I said in the topic, multiple likes from the same person would still only count as 1.

This would be merely cosmetic, for the silly blowing-a-heart-at-you animation.

then yeah, if its purely cosmetic id be fine with it, but at that point wouldnt it be fine if it was just a Emote?

But emotes don’t have the little heart particle flying over, you know? That’s what makes likes feel so special and fun to use!

The entire Likes system is retarded. This isn’t Facebook and it should never have been put in the game.

yeah no i mean when/if they add animated emotes, wouldnt it be fine as a emote?
Wakfu, which i played before this, had a bunch of emotes that could be used on other players, like dancing, kissing, tickles, slapping, giving a gift (that explodes into fireworks), throwing a snowball, only to mention a few.

The emotes was one of my favorite feature of that game.

Ohhh maan interactive emotes like that would be so much fun! I remember tickling everyone I met there. Fun times!

No need to be so negative buddy. Just because you don’t like something so harmless such as that it doesn’t mean you should call it retarded. And likes aren’t just a facebook thing. They’re everywhere. Hell, even here in the forums we have a like system. They’re a fun, social feature.

Geez I like the idea of getting a like for something you are doing that OTHER people actually like.

It should be obvious that no one is getting a like for being a killstealing and/or annoying douchebag or “just there”.

So what are people who want to get liked doing? Oh yeah they are nice to other players. And now tell me:

What the heck is so bad about that!?

Mm, it’s definitely stupid from IMC not to allow multiple likes from the same character at all. However, I do agree with them that some boundaries are required to inhibit harassment and abuse. For instance, even with a cool-down, in big enough crowd you still could spam without pause.

So in addition to a cool-down it would be better to require both parties to have added each other to their friend lists.

One could go further with various statuses, options, etc. as in a social networks since this is supposed to be a party oriented game but I don’t have any expectations for any complex systems anymore.

THIS!! I’m kinda tired of unliking then liking the character again just to see the heart animation. :sweat_smile: It’s so much fun to use than the macro which doesn’t have fancy animation.
