Food

Slime girl’s bodies are made of high contents of water. As well as absorb water very easily. Too much water can also be bad. They also cannot exposed to direct sunlight or hot heat for a long time.

They will die if you put large amounts of salt on their bodies. Unlike humans who also are made of 70% water (Or salty water like some people.). They have an outer layer called skin and even their insides are not semifluids.

That is why after every meal with salt in it, you must also supply them with a drink of water. Or rather, they primarily survive on water. But they also do still need proteins and other ingredients to properly make slime if they lose any for any reason. Not just water.

So yes they actually need water, protein, and enzymes to keep their bodies alive. A diet of too much water will make your slime girl feel very wet anywhere when touched. It is also somewhat harder for them to take on a recognizable form. It is also unhealthy since they do need other things other than water to make sure their slime bodies do not break down. A good example would be too much water would make them a puddle eventually.

A diet of not enough water but mostly solid foods with proteins etc. Will make your slime girl less semifluid and slimey. What this means is that if touched, they feel like jello and not like actual slime. They take on a more solid form and there is a less chance of your arm/hand being able to reach inside their bodies as it’d be too difficult to expand to make space for it. A higher chance of just bouncing off body/stretching body area like rubber inwards.

Someone asks what happens when you pour a 20lb salt bag on a slime girl? Well, they don’t die immediately. After some agonizing time, they become salt crystals.

Fun fact

Slime girls will take color based mainly on what they are consuming. For people asking how a white/blue color is achieved, you have to understand that this is from a water based diet (Not too much water though.). But then you ask, how does the color blue happen?

It’s a bit complicated but you have to first understand how the ocean/seas and the sky are also blue. First, blue the color is the one that penetrates and is “absorbed” best in water. It is also reflected and that is what you see. Other colors are also absorbed, but most of them are not reflected as much as blue.

Fyi majority of slime girls are blue or white. You will have to properly balance what they eat to achieve a different color naturally.

Otherwise you can just give them food coloring as water absorbs that. Or just feed them blood to make them take on a certain red color.

Slime girls will eventually turn back to blue/white so you should think of what to feed them. A steady diet of the same things will let them stay a certain color unless you change it.

Slime girl biology

They are not a very large unicellular organism. They are multicellular but without a brain. DNA organizes their cells like any other living being. They work based on instinct and also use past successful experiences if possible. Every surface on their bodies can use sensory data and reflexive processes and responds if needed.

Please note: Slime girl science is still working on if they are either "Multicellular" or either a "Colonial Organism". Further research is needed to find how their bodies work together. Theories welcome for monster girl science.

They understand if there is a physical obstacle and can change to any shape to move through it. They can even control bouyancy but it is not really needed as it is dangerous to be in large bodies of water. They can detect saltiness, heat and also cold. They also can use chemical sensing.

They can detect unique sound waves to recognize unique patterns and vibrations. They are able to somewhat memorize a “word’s” unique sound wave. They don’t necessarily have any physical structures to hear. If taught repetitively, they can know what something means. They’re not able to properly connect and understand full complex sentences in speech sound waves though. But they’re able to put together what they currently know to get a simple meaning.

Slime girls can detect chemical odors with complex olfactory nerves on the surface of their bodies. They’re able to track smell very well with all of those. How does a high level of smell work? Imagine a naked female human being that you recognize. Now put on new clothes (That you haven’t seen before.), make up and a new hair cut. You still recognize that person. That’s how deep their detection of chemical smell goes.

Slime girls do not have dedicated structures for respiration or circulation. But they do still in fact need oxygen to survive, even if not as much as other living beings. As what their bodies are made of, still need oxygen to properly work. They are also able to store certain amounts of oxygen in their bodies. They do not deplete oxygen very fast as well either from storage or their surroundings. Allowing them to live in low oxygen conditions. Unlike humans. They will survive very very much longer in a contained room with no replenishable oxygen than most land living animals/humans.

They cannot survive in a vacuum of space. Lack of air pressure will allow oxygen to escape their bodies (Even if trying to hold it in.) and they will pass away once their cells die.

All in all, slime girls do need oxygen even if very small amounts of them. They can diffuse oxygen from their surroundings into their cells.

Slime girls are able to live in and adapt to both low and high pressures if they still have what’s needed to keep their bodies alive.

What happens if you crush a slime girl? They have very high regenerative abilities and can even reattach itself to “still living” pieces of itself. The only way to kill them is with a large amount of salt, high temperatures of direct heat, or a strong enough explosion to where only very small bits of them are left with no outside help.

Freezing them solid? They will come back once not frozen. Even if shattered. Unless completely shattered and grinded to small particles and then blew them away in the wind.

Flamethrower? Depends on the slime girl’s diet. Some bodies are resistant to catching aflame and burning. While others can catch on fire or either melt.

What exactly happens if they’re separately taken apart (Chunks, not small.) and put miles away from each other? Cells divide and replicate and you now created another slime girl.

Are slime girls able to combine with each other? Only if they’re from the same original body. Otherwise it will reject the other body and destroy the unknown cells in itself. If two fairly large slime girls originating from the same body in the past meet each other. They can combine.

Slime girls digest food by having specially self made microbes that speed the decay process of solids inside them. Otherwise it’d take forever for them to digest food. As usual if trying to eat something living, most of the time the living being will have to suffocate and die then start decaying. As the living being’s body can easily fend off the process of decay. So no, slime girls do not melt things like acid.

The real question is, can slime girls actually “see”? No, they cannot. But their sensory data and detection of touch from what they’re currently feeling, sound waves, vibrations from anything, taste and detection of odors, all of those in a comprehensible 360 directions create a map from every cell sharing information. Then decide what to do from current information as if each cell voted instantly and processed immediately what to do.

Like an ant colony, everything works together for a sole purpose. The way their bodies are programed they usually never have problems from within. As well as everything works reflexively and instinctively like microbes and jellyfish. But on a higher level of intelligence but not enough to exactly be “sentient”?

How entering and leaving the body works

As you learned, they have senses on the outside of their body. But how do they accidentally not go further into the body, or how are they affected when something enters or leaves the body itself?

There is a very thin but durable rubber like layer on the outside of the body. Which has trillions of receptors and nerves that are transparent and not able to be felt by touch or seen by the naked eye. It covers all around the body in any shape from under to top but tight.

There are actually two of these layers, one directly under the cover as a secondary in case the first cannot replicate and regenerate quickly enough as the second will rise up. Usually this never happens since the regenerative powers of a slime is very fast and it’d be as if nothing had happened.

The first step is stretching apart properly to allow any size object to fit. Generally it’s a pretty tight fit since the inside of a slime isn’t like putting your hand through water. It doesn’t come apart chunky if putting your hand through a large block of jelly either.

The body does expand and increase in size (Like putting marbles in water.) though.

It makes a “shlukgd” sound during while the body instantly refills the path the solid object took to enter the body closing it out from the inside, while also resetting the outside layer as well and the body increases in size slightly as said before.

What is the reason some live with humans?

First we need to talk about something that will make something later on make more sense. Bear with me.

They do not have a reason to need to kill or stay away from other living beings. Usually their only way of killing something is sucking them in and suffocating them. Or adapting and learning how to solidify (Not fully, as that’s somewhat impossible for them.) a part of their body, to hold something to use as a weapon. Such as a large stick if in the wild.

Now you’re wondering of what I meant of why they would need to “stay away” from something. They will instinctively with past learned experiences like an animal to stay away from signs of danger they have met before. They will usually hold long time grudges with these, as the animalistic instinct for “self preservation” is what keeps them alive. Yes, a slime girl (Or any slime in any kind of form.) can learn to fear humans if possible.

Now back to the topic.

It’s as simple to just feed a slime girl. If they see you as a source of food, as well as become used to your unique odor and body shape. They will know who you are and will stay in the vicinity as an easy way to survive.

If you’re able to defend as well from their dangers, they will develop a parasitic symbiosis. A parasitic symbiosis is when two different species live in harmony with each other. Except that one is using the other for benefits and advantages. Which is the slime girl instinctively being the parasite in your relationship.

Of course, with careful developments you can create a symbiotic relationship between two different species. IF the slime girl defends you instead of the other way around. Mainly because the slime girl defends you because you are a source of food.

The two reasons above explains why a slime in general lives with a human instinctively without a brain.

All other facts will be put into comments section. Read comments to find people’s questions answered. As well as more facts by me. This is because original post becoming very long. Should treat whole thread and even comments as the original post.

Questions go in comments. I will reply if there is a plausible answer for it.

There is not enough scientific research on slimes. So if I do not have any good information I will try to give you a theory based on what I already know.

If there is something that even I do not know because of not enough evidence or research, perhaps we could both speculate a reasonable answer.

Can slimegirls wear clothes if they make parts of the “skin” hard enough or will they walk naked?
Also, what do i have to feed my slimegirl to make her turn green?

Clothes generally are not very heavy (Making the task easier to do.) and they probably could wear clothes if they did what you said.

Although, I am sure that they are a species not capable of being self aware enough as to think themselves as actually “naked”. In the way humans think at least. Their natural form is a blob. If taking on the form of a female, they won’t exactly see it as being naked.

It’s like if you had the ability to shape shift and turned into a chair. Ok not the same thing but still.

Or rather, “Biochemical Pigments”.

Everything in the universe has something called selective color absorption. Like how the color green won’t magically change to another color unless forced to because of reasons that would alter it.

If your slime’s diet contains something mainly of foods that have a selective color absorption of green, the slime will absorb the biochemical pigments. If taken enough steadily over a course of days, the color will override and your slime will take onto that color.

NOTE: This rarely (Basically never.) happens in other species on earth, since they do not digest food like slimes, as well as have the kind of bodies they do.

[This isn’t exactly the same kind of process or thing, but if you give certain flowers to absorb colored water. It will take upon that color. It is NOT from the water itself, but from the selective color absorption from the dye. So the color reflected back to our eyes will be that certain color.]

Slime girls with a alcohol concentration in their bodies are not good. Areas inside the body affected lag behind the others around it and become slower.

Yes, the affected area does “fall apart” as if you took inanimate floating water (Not possible but continue reading.) then make it animate. It will fall and splash on the ground.

Every single microscopic unit cannot connect to another anymore. What seems to be a small puddle of slime is actually trillions of unconnected single units.

They are in danger of drying up like jellyfish. Most cannot diffuse oxygen around them to absorb them. Most of them it was not their job. They normally can adapt and change, but they are intoxicated and cannot.

The units also are not able to properly assess danger, and will hold in the alcohol and try to “digest” it. So pouring water on them will do nothing. As they will try not to take in anything else to avoid “too much intake of absorbed nutrients if that makes sense” and popping from being oversized.

Those units die.

Next research:

If not intoxicated, what exactly happens to a single unit separated from the others and left alone on it’s own?

What is the natural enemy of the slime girls?

Some pixel slime girls:

Usually nothing. Anything that attacks them in the wild usually “sticks” to them and is slowly pulled in. If the target is larger than the slime itself (and cannot fully envelope a living being.), it has a natural predatory instinct (From ancestry knowledge that became natural.) knowing that most living beings “breathe”. At which they will collect sensory data to find where to block their air ways if not totally envelope the body.

BUT, your best bet of their natural enemy are humans. They have the technology or either knowledge to fight them. Usually you do not fight a slime in close quarters like wild animals may do if they are curious.

It is safe to say that they do not have any “predators” in the wild. They are an apex predator, and humans do not even eat them either.

Although…

If we get into the topic of “What about other monster girls?”, slime girls do not do well against electrical shocks (Either from magic or other reasons.) if not from humans.

Usually there should be no point of other monster girls attacking slimes though. Unless they get into a slime girl’s “hunting territory” and must defend. Since slime girls usually are not eaten, and hold no valuables.

What exactly happens to a single unit from the trillions in a slime girl if separated from the others and left alone on it’s own? Many factors. Let’s talk.

First, you must know that they all usually work as a telepathic “hive mind” between each other. The distance of this is about a mile. So basically a single unit can still be picked up from it’s original body IF it’s needed. This will be explained further on once I give you important information needed for later.

Every single unit does not exactly have a “soul”. But it may seem that if they are all clumped together as a slime, they have created a living being and a soul. This is also why we are debating if a slime girl is a “multicellular organism” or “colonial organism”. Mainly because a single unit on it’s own is still able to turn into a slime girl of it’s own. But it does not if it’s within it’s original body. It’s a complicated concept.

If a single unit is not needed, or not worth the time retrieving, it will be told it is to be left. We are not sure if they know the concept of “death”.

The single unit will then die.

But when is it needed? If a slime girl is hit with an explosion, any units that did not simply “disintegrate” and are left. They will reach out and try to clump back together then start cell reproduction if possible. It should be noted that cell reproduction for replication and dividing only works if there is food. So yes, explosions are a good way to kill slime girls if they have not eaten in the past six hours. As you usually can set aflame the separated units or use salt.

But what if I told you there is even a THIRD outcome from the two I told above.

This is REALLY rare. In the chance that the single unit must both survive at all costs but cannot be retrieved from the original body. It will begin a not really understood change.

If for any reason a slime girl is being killed properly. There are chances that a single unit will survive. Of course, there are also chances that more than one will survive and it should be obvious what happens next after that (They work together and just become a very small slime blob even if not visible to naked eye.).

But the topic is about a single one.

A single unit cannot be seen by the naked eye. It will undergo a death like state reduced to the point where, yeah it seems dead but is not. The chances of survival are very slim alone, and this is what it can do for now.

If the single unit is able to hold out and keep it’s water, all it needs is to wait for protein. (It doesn’t need much since it’s microscopic.). It may even prey on other microbes near it (Without moving itself.)

Then once it has what it needs, it will begin replication. Then begins the life of a new slime girl.

I’m bad at drawing in general. Just realized I’m even more worse with a mouse.

Note: Without being moved forcefully by unseen forces where it doesn’t want to go.

Note: No, slimes do not feel prickly or fuzzy. I was too lazy to draw so many circles and said ■■■■ it. Just make squiggly lines.

Note: Usually at this point the units in the center start moving towards the prey or food. They do NOT wait idly in the center waiting for it to COME to THEM. No once again, they do not melt stuff like acid.

BUT, at this stage in the microscopic world, they do kill their prey almost similar as to how some things kill your human cells with disease.

I’m not really good at explaining things in complete detail that makes sense.

I feel like there probably was a better way to explain everything more in-depth and detailed to where you don’t have to think about it in your head too much to figure it out with mental images.

Slime boys are a thing.

In general slimes have no gender. Their natural form is a imperfect circle/oval blob that changes shape almost every time they move.

When forming a human male/female form, it is entirely as a way to more easily create parasitic symbiosis/symbiotic relationships. This is similar as to how “The Thing” from the movies worked, but kind of not since The Thing wanted to kill. Slimes can also only copy the “Look” of things but not the innards of course.

You can see how the relationships are both formed in the original topic for why they live with humans.

Yes it has happened before where a slime formed to look human to kill a human.

Funnily, this only works against humans and not other species of animals. Animals seem to take it more “seriously in a way” if a slime tried to copy their species look.
