Skill Durations Don't Match

I don’t really know if someone else has already posted this, but oh well…
I’ve noticed that skill durations don’t match their description. Maybe it’s because of lag? Lag interferes with some many things in this game, even things you think are not related at all, so I really don’t know.
The thing is: I use some buff skill that lasts 45 seconds and has a cooldown of 41 seconds. When I cast it everything is alright. But then when the skill duration is running out, I notice that the skill has like 10 seconds of duration left, but is still in cooldown for another 15 seconds. What was supposed to be something that would finish it’s cooldown 4 seconds before the buff run out ends up having 5 seconds downtime. I mean, WTF?

Hmm, well that’s interesting. Though not entirely relevant to anything on the forums I guess.

Maybe you’ve got some attributes that increase/decrease the CDs of a skill(Like the increased hit count in Blessing), what class are you playing?

I don’t really think this is it, since in the beginning everything is going fine, but when the buff is running out, it gets out of sync with the cooldown. It really is strange.

some attributes gives CD penalty, you can turn them off in the skill window

I know, but as I said, the problem is with the duration, not the cooldown. The duration of the skill seems to tick a little faster at some point. It really happens all the time. Even tried it with all attributes off to be sure.

I’ve noticed this as well. I first noticed it with Transpose when I brought it up to lv2 for 100% uptime (70 seconds duration & cooldown) but when the buff ran out I’d always still have 10~15 seconds left on the cooldown despite them both starting at 1 min 10 seconds exactly.

Either the cooldown timer or the buff timer is slightly off, leading to one running out faster than the other. It has nothing to do with attributes with CD penalty. They start with the right numbers, but as they go down they fall out of sync.

Yeah, my guess would be ping for some reason. Since ping somehow affects even the number of hits a multi-hit skill does (when on high ping (over 1k or something) my multishot only shoots 3 arrows or something). Since I play on SA I am constantly with ~200ms.
