A returning player decided to make a new account to take advantage of the new player event, realized I have a few usable stuffs from my old account so I want to transfer them to the new one. Simple problem yet to do it, I have to go through a tedious process, which I’ve never seen before in my 10 years of MMO experience.
For other MMOs, you can just multi client and trade the item over, but no ! this game does not allow such a thing. Ask a friend to help ? the old char doesn’t have token so the item will become untradable, so the only choice left is to use the god damned market. But now you have to wait 30 mins- 2 hours, constantly refreshing the market for your damn item to appear before you can get your hand on it, and pray noone gonna snipe it before you do. IMC, why do you make life so hard for your players ?
You can’t multiclient any Steam game.
The event is for recruiting new players and not returning players. You are a returning player and you want to abuse this event, therefore I would like to ask, why do you complain?

So say you quitted just days after you started back then, messed up your build, now you want to come back and hear there’s an event for new players that give them all kind of stuffs to help them catch up, will you tell me you gonna go back on your old character and continue playing ? Because if you do then your IQ must not be very high.
Very mature response, I underestimated the childishness of a dying game’s community
Tbh. I’m kind of puzzled why they didn’t make a returning campaign to roll alongside this. Would’ve worked well.
Please point out where I did ? but sure, I will. Thanks.
On contrary, because I’m able to understand words. New does not mean returning. Both are completely different words and not even have something in common.
Some months ago there was a great event for returning players with a huge exp-boost, which I used to create two new characters. Okay, I didn’t quit TOS before, because I just take some breaks and doing more important things. If you like you can ask for an event specially for returning players, but this an event for new players. Do not blame IMC in this case, blame yourself.
As annoying restrictions can be they actually prevent some bots/illegal things/RMT/exploits to happen or get worse.
As a side effect of the design it does affects players and there’s a constant discussion on if it affects honest players more than prevents bad things and all such.
You already have the example how it affects honest players, I don’t need to cite one.
But let me give you one example on how it affects other things. You said about the market, right? There are some players who RMT using market transactions. By having this delay it affects the transaction and other players can get aware of who is doing that because one addon that shows who is selling the item and as well there’s a report button.
In theory the restrictions works and prevent a number of abuses for technical issues or even for not showing your name doing bad things in public. But some people doesn’t care and some are smart and gets over restrictions which then might affect only fair players because we don’t keep thinking/preparing on how to bypass these things all the time.
Along with such restrictions there’s the need of clear directives like actually punishing when people are caught with RMT and handling reports.
In current scenario though it makes it harder for everyone and does prevents certain things from happening but it’s a well known fact that it affects negatively honest players to some extent and as well known fact that some things doesn’t cause a ban yet.
OP the community is loud and clear, we hate “returning” players because you guys just quit so fast and turned your backs against the Great TOS - traitors!
Is it possible to dual client steam games?
I am also interested on knowing the content of your MMO library, as you imply you have 10 years of experience. Many current RPGs (both Action and MMO) have most of their items character bound upon acquisition.
sandboxie works for some, others require VM
You can, lol. Easy too. But not gona say it, people love abusing.
I suggest you kindly as a friend to trade you your stuff back from your old account. Multi boxing is not allowed in this game.
But you require a 3rd party program to make it possible.
Basically everything this guy says fits into the condescending Willy Wonka meme.

OMG, He IS the meme!
Yep. Item binding is pretty standard and owning multiple accounts is against the terms of service on the vast majority of MMOs to prevent multi-boxing.
What OP complains about not being able to do is a bannable offence on the majority of MMOs.
You’re not supposed to do what you want to do. It’s a bannable offense.
Heard that OP? Now report yourself to get banned and don’t ever come back
