Show EXP gained when killing monsters

Currently, the numerical/percentage EXP gain is not shown when killing monsters.

This seems to be poor design for two reasons:

1. Confirm EXP gained.
In crowded maps, there is currently no way to confirm if I’m getting EXP from killing monsters. I don’t know if I’m getting KS’d. More importantly, however, I can’t confirm that my grinding is actually doing something. This leads to my next point…

2. Skinner box.
Showing EXP upon killing a monster is an easy way to add a lot of juice to your system. It feels rewarding to the player and gives confirmation of a successful engagement. Stacked lines showing EXP gain from large mob kills is highly satisfying as well (think MapleStory). Getting confirmation makes players want to continue hunting monsters (myself included), and honestly sometimes I get paranoid that all this killing isn’t doing anything.

My proposed solution is to show EXP gained as a white line of text on the right side of the screen, which fades after a few seconds. This is implemented in MapleStory and should work in this game as well.

Agreed.
No reason not to implement this i think? Exp information still passes the info to the server, so not really an overload issue here i think

Yes please.

Sad thing is, this already exists in Korean version, and it’s super cool too. You can see example of it here https://youtu.be/e6GPtmya3TA?t=2m54s

We used to have this, but then they took it from out cold-lifeless (from grinding) hands

In the 1st iCBT i could see the EXP gained from mobs, but they removed this for some reason =/

^ this.

I also have no idea why they removed EXP gained.
