Should i quit playing TOS?

I’m asking it seriously , you know ,i love this game, played both CBT , made alot of friends, got at rank 7 and all the others things that are possible to do…

But i’m kind worried about the time spent with this game, it will be all in vain? ■■■■, i see so much people offering help, wishing the best for the game, trying to help anyway they can. even if getting mad and complaining about it, because in the bottom of their heart they are seeing a beautiful masterpiece being throw away, i dont want to belive that this game is already over, so please, someone tell me if there is anyway to fix all this problems, and make this game what it was meant to be, magnificent.

IMC, i hope you see what a GEM you have in your hands, IF in ANYWAY you did made this game just for profit, i have to tell you that you are going to win much more investing in it. If you made this game from passion, then don’t leave your saviors without support, please.

Thanks.

If you should quit or not if up to you. I’m giving it another two weeks and if nothing happens by then well, yeah.

the game is actually super promising…
even back in cbt it was fun.
but i am not sure wat is IMC currently facing now.
they seems to have a lot of cockups here and there.

and that is making the game stray away from how it is.
things we saw in cbt and the fun we enjoyed were kinda taken away from players…

i am pretty sad myself, becos i have supported this game way before it is out to the public…

Every games have their age, sooner or later all most of them going to closed. your lvl your item won’t live forever what remain is memory.

If you have good time with the game stay with it, if not pull back.

Don’t commit yourself to this game because it’s not worth it. Wait for them to announce something then comeback

i think you should wait for another 1~2 months to decide , the game is still fresh and new , many things will change for sure ( if you know maplestory , the time when it first come out and now are completely different )

game released f2p only one month, for god sake you damn ppl.

inb4 “they had years to fix the issues!”

Not like, different game builds during the creation of the game itself are a thing. Not like they had to rebuild things to actually fit on this single core processor game, couldn’t possibly be it. They did however, have a few months.

Man, I just want them to be clean and honest with us and hopefully soon. Most of us are grownups and can take some bad news.

i don’t see a lot of people offering actual -help-, just a lot of people telling IMC to fix things the way that player wants it to be.
and most of the “how should this get fixed” threads simply bring up the same old terrible ideas that -still- won’t work, and they defend it by saying “but we have to do something.”

“wishing the best” is the same as liking a story on facebook. it might make us feel better for a few minutes, but in the end it does absolutely nothing to help.

literally the opposite of being helpful. just randomly complaining and yelling “fix it now!” is even less useful than “wishing the best”.

the typical modern f2p MMO takes 2 YEARS to stabilize. i can’t imagine this game lasting anything less than that, and probably a great deal longer.

yes, quit posting about it and just wait.
fixing problems takes more than just “whacking at a keyboard for a couple of minutes” like they do on tv.

meanwhile, if you look at the way the game is now… and wonder "should i quit?"
then i say the answer is a loud and resounding HELL YES, QUIT NOW.

but come back in like a year or so, and see if it’s become the gem that hope it can be.

Yeah but it was too early for current number of bugs and unbalanced things.
And they are fixing ROOT SPAWNS intstead of fixing bugs that crash a game or making game unplayable for a particular(33%) classes.

If you’re unsure,I would recommend taking a small step back from the game.Don’t play if you don’t want to invest anything more at the moment, but keep checking the forums for updates and new information.I think that’s a pretty safe option to take.

Man take it from me, I spent almost 900hrs playing this. I wont invest my time anymore here but i wont quit either. Game has full potential in future and I will just wait for the game to get better. For now what Im doing is after the reset, all my characters doing the boss rush and farm cubes.

Quit it. It’s better for your life anyway.

OP should do whatever… Why are you asking the internet what to do? Next thing you know you’ll be asking if it’s a good idea to put a plastic bag on your head and try to stay there until you pass out.

On a side note, I’m pretty sure most my friends that were really enjoying the game will be giving it a couple more weeks to see if IMC actually steps up their game.

I’m a bit more patient and since I’ve been following this game from kCBTs and such I want to see where it’ll be headed.

Even though when I compare the early CBT versions, like the trade systems and all the stuff without the corporate profit bullshit behind it, It was actually a better game than it stands now. I’d play a buggy early CBT version of ToS over the current version anytime.

To me the game is not over until it stops being fun or until they close the game.
I don’t care whether any of these two things happens tomorrow or many years from now.
As long as you get enjoyment out of it you should just play the game and enjoy it without worrying about the bad stuff.

Test how u feel before and after
Then ask yourself the meaning of life :joy:

So 14 days = 1 month. What planet do you live on? But seriously if they don’t have TP up to sale after a real month that’s a bad sign.

I’ll give it another month. If they dont fix the lag and the connection problems, and at least show some promise of changes in the trade restriction, specially between chars in the same team, I’m leaving the game too.

Sad, because I played it since the kCBT and have more than 1500h in the Steam playing it, but atm it seems just a game failing.

as of right now
the only thing i look forward to are add ons

My only real issue is the fact that things that were issues during the cbt build of the game are resurfacing that were fixed. That shows that there is a serious problem that is beyond the tp issue. Balance problems are going to be a thing, the trade restrictions suck but they can be modified, however when dungeons start not being able to be ran. Quests are glitching out, class combinations that were reported during the closed beta that were supposed to be fixed are now all of a sudden not fixed anymore it’s making me wonder what’s going on.

TBH the fact that they allowed the fans to beg for the game early is what has us where we stand now, and they are spending too much time trying to make the game stable to support the player base when they still have optimization issues they need to iron out and fatal bugs that still exist now that they haven’t put in fixes yet.

This isn’t a shot at the F2P people but I’m going to be real here, the population bugging them to shorten the founder beta (which was supposed to be the time they were going to take to iron out the issues we are starting to see now), has set this game back by about 2 months from where it should be.

I fully don’t expect them to have the game in a stable state where you wont randomly crash, buffs won’t vanish (without you reaching the buff limit), and classes from the first 6 ranks aren’t crashing the client for at least 2 more months. Unfortunately during this time they need to make sure All the servers which were not planned to be rolled out this early are good to go, and also are stable while dealing with each of the problems, plus a new host of problems from porting over copies of the world for multiple regions. Then they still need to follow their content schedule for Ktos to make investors happy, and keep a player base interested, while also doing content for nexon to pump out for their version. Lets not forget that we still don’t have pvp in yet and not because they wont put it in, but because it’s not ready, they are still balancing that in ktos as I write this now, and if it was to release as it was for us, well… Sleep… Stone curse GG.

Multiple classes aren’t working right, multiple skills aren’t even functioning (Hunter’s entire tree), 2 days ago my summon literally flew away… It just noped the hell outta dodge and started to vertically fly off… (glad I wasn’t circle 2 yet and mounted). Earlier yesterday I was walking and the game decided I hit an invisible shortcut and warped me from Demon prison 3 to the middle of demon prison 5 (glad I’m a full con build)… >_>;;

This is still a cbt build being ran as an open beta because the population demanded it… Well you got what you wanted, a buggy game that wasn’t ready to go public open beta yet, and since people couldn’t wait to play, (and I understand the want was real and people really wanted to enjoy the game I’m happy for that), we have to wait for them to play catch up. And my god do they have a lot they still need to fix to even get back to where they were during cbt. The only thing we have that we didn’t have is 80 more levels… But I can tell you what we don’t have, a game that is even remotely as stable as it was in October.
