SPR is useful for some debuff and that is all. If you want SP regen, then you should solely rely on SP regen gears and instead of SPR. The reason is that using SPR in many ways is counter productive because you have lots of SP potion resources at end game. Furthermore, some spells such as psychokino and sorcerer consume SP by percentage. A large SP pool will result in a high SP to Potion ratio cost for these classes. Finally, wizard also doesn’t gain the block penetration that SPR give. So there really is no reason to take SPR.
Of course, if you want to be special build for SPR, then go and do full SPR. You will get a bonus from Reflect Shield. Getting a little bit of SPR for SP regen only will hinder your future game play.
