Should Dievdirbys statues be immune to knockback in PvE only?

of course i have con. im lvl 133 and with 75 con atm. you should know the saying: a dead support will not support anyone.

Something to add on, for most bosses their attacks are telegraphed so it is good to pay attention to what the boss do too. So in the case where a tank is in need of heals the cleric can move in in-between the boss’s attacks to drop a set of heal tiles.

A good placement of owls is to place it beside the tank or just right behind the tank. In this way when the boss does some knockback moves and the tank happens to be knocked back, the boss will move towards the tank and owls.

Speaking of knockbacks, one trick I found for healing is to place tiles behind players so when they get knocked back, they will drop onto the heal tiles.

@Lyrical I feel like the ability to move around might be good at lower lvls but become useless at later in the game. You will also have other skills to spam and the bosses will knockback the statues away constantly so you would have to be moving your statues all the time.

IMO Immunity is the best fix here. Then change damage or cooldowns if it turns out OP.

@_Nekorin x2 carve time would be too hardcore in my opinion. That would make you lose so much dps during your carving when you have to do it in middle of a world boss.

Better idea. Place owl inside of boss. Tada, as long as boss doesn’t move too much your statues are now immune to knock back :stuck_out_tongue:. No need change things regarding knock back as long as you are smart about placement.

I’m interested in this proposal though I haven’t leveled up enough to experience owl. I only get to carve Laima and hardly get it knocked back because…weak mobs I guess? usually just witness it get slapped around by the boss.
and I’m also curious, does safety zone help prevent the statues get knocked back?

Pretty annoying in practice and wont work at world bosses sadly cause people will move them around. :frowning:

And should change the method of Ausrine. If my ping is higher than 100 then screwed it will not work half of times. just standing in a circle for 5 secs or something.

I agree that statues, especially Owl statues, should be immune against knockback, them being able to be knocked around and having to lure enemies to walls is just frustrating and annoying…
Also, adding knockback immunity does not really replace tanks in any way.

This should be done as an attribute for the all carve statue skills, which then could offer some kind of drawback, like one of the following:
-activating the knockback-immunity attribute halves the statues hp
-activating the knockback-immunity attribute doubles the statue skills sp cost
-activating the knockback-immunity attribute doubles the skills wood item cost

And yes, i think it should be pve only.

How would giving Owls knockback immunity take away peltastas role?
Can it mass aggro everything on screen? No.
Can it run around to avoid getting hit or aggroing more mobs? No.
Can it keep aggro better than a tank? I highly doubt it.

How does it replace DPS classes? As soon as the monster decides to move around owl becomes kind of useless, while real players can adjust their attack locations according to where the enemy goes. Heck, even a CryoPsycho with his static icewall can adjust to moving enemies by runing around his icewall and firing in the other direction. An owl can’t.

IMC Give life to this, is really annoying. because the range of the statues are already too short.
