I was wondering what are the options for early choices in a
rode3 shinobi murmillo build (peltasta is taken also at least C1)
we have:
Sword C2
Peltasta C2
Highlander C1
Hoplite C1
Barbarian C1

I was actually choosing between sword c2 (for longer duration on pain barrier and restrain) or pelt c2 (for higher swash and high guard…)
which do you think would be good? I want to do both pve and pvp :c

There’s a chinese saying that "when you try to be everything, you will be nothing"
lower ranks doesn’t matter that much actually, for swordman c2 is much more appealing for both pvp and pve compared to pelt c2. I personally went sword 1 + pelt 1+ hoplite 1 and sometimes I thought about going sword c3 instead for PVE also.
The problem lies with your high ranks choice. If you picked Shinobi, your more of a PVE guy with bursty damage. Choose Corsair or Squire for PVP ,more CC with iron hook and arrest .
Unless you’re willing to pop $$$ for 2 x +90 SPR bracelets every week, you’ll really want to go Sword3 for PVP or you’ll be getting tossed around unless a cleric ally carries you.
As @LexDaniels said, you’ll be a jack of all trades, master of none. Your current options though should at least make you viable in PVE.
To be optimal, give up Shinobi for Sw3 Pel1 Rod3 Murm1 for PVP (which is still good for PVE though not as bursty as Shinobi) — or give up Sw3 and take Shinobi for high-burst PVE (while still okay-ish for PVP).

Sw1 pel3 rode3 murmill
i think sw3 is better for pvp
while pel3 is better for pve since u get more dmg from pelt’s C3 armor break and butterfly

Yes, you got that right. Kind of a dilemma if you wanna do PVE and PVP interchangeably. 
Safest way would be to roll both and see which playstyle you’d prefer the most (that is if you have the time and patience to do so).

maybe Sw3, pelt1 rode3, murmill!
sw3 rod 3 corsair 1 murmillo is meta for pvp.
Corsair 1 is miles better than pelt 1 for pvp coz of hook
For PVP, yes you’re right.
Pel1 though offers more in terms of general gameplay (PVP & PVE).
