Shifting Hidden Classes to rank 2

I think it would encourage more build diversity if these hidden classes dont belong in class hierarchy but rather can be taken anytime you want, starting at rank 2.

Since IMC is buffing lower classes to be on par with higher rank ones. There is no harm to include hidden ranks in lower ranks too imo.

Specialized hidden rank to improved previous C3 rank like Chaplain do with priest can stay as it is after progressing Priest 3.

I’d rather see every class have a hidden class for each rank instead of being able to choose them at 2 and on (which is probably a goal for them eventually).

Also if you choose nothing but hidden classes every rank at rank 10 you unlock super novice.

Choosing every hidden class is like Rainbow build. Assuming IMC would release 10 hidden ranks for every class it would be a bad build.

I’d be intrigued, would the quest be ^2 as difficult?
To be honest, I don’t know why there’s hidden classes anyway, out of the ones we have they do not seem to bring much to the table.

Appraiser? not even here yet, but full support.
Rune caster? seems fun, but doesn’t fit in this game design.
Shinobi? The shades seems cool, what else can it do? The shinobi of the guild I’m in only had it because of the shades.
Chaplain? I do not know anything about it.
Miko? Figures, the op one belongs to the clerics.

Well, the quests difficulty could follow after, but for majority who are casual, it would be more preferable if not so time consuming. Some of the hidden classes quests are already butt clenching in difficulty.

Appraiser or Shinobi, Runecaster would have more build diversity if theyre at rank 2. Right now only a handful of build that could fit for them because theyre in the way of C3 classes if they are placed at higher rank. C3 progression then hidden classes at higher rank dont go too well, it killed lots of class potential.

Hm having them available at rank 2, I think that would be bad in a way, it perhaps would upset the balance of the early ranks.

But, it would also create more diversity and shouldn’t matter by the later ranks. I just wish they paid more attention to the mushrooms they’re adding to the soup, sure some may be good, other might be poisonous. (This goes for all classes, really.)

Hidden classes as of now feels very lackluster and not benefiting; well except for clerics. It needs a full overhaul of the system because right now it doesn’t really " amplify " your build or gameplay.

They could change it so that it isn’t a class option but an attribute/skill add-on.
Depending on which class you want to start the questline for, it will boost said class’ skills with extra effects or even give new skills that will not need skill points but rather just completing the quest associated with the skill every time. Could become sort of a daily quest that you must complete in order to receive a tribute to offer up to level up a hidden skill or attribute for your class. This way it won’t interfere with your build progress and take up a Rank spot. It will also diversify your gameplay and maybe set some new metas.

Well, since rebalance will make all skills/spells be based of your atk maybe wont be that op.

If this did happen good luck being a rank 2 Miko, would need some nice friends to protect you through the 100+ maps.

Yea I agree, specially Chaplain. Doesnt make any sense for 4 slot ranks but still underwhelming. Chaplain would be good IMO if it is another class extension that wouldnt required another rank slot.

Like hidden skills instead? Would probably a cool feature if it comes in TOS. Like every class could acquire hidden skills. Could be use to update lower rank class skills instead of remaking as we progress to Rank 10 or more. Can also use to update Hidden Classes if IMC decided not to give them advancement anymore (C2 or C3).

Moving hidden classes in Rank 2 would open up possibility of them having C2 or C3 too.

It would also fit smoothly with the upcoming Battle Rework and could find some space to slide it in there, as we won’t be needing Silver to level up attributes no more but points instead.

Hidden classes can instead become a benchmark " Amplifying " boosts for existing or new skills and attributes. What would be great for it is that, if you could take out the offerings to level up the hidden skills or attributes any time or at any new Rank, to mix-match skills. That way the player doesn’t feel forced to stick to just one Circle and opens up a vast variety of outcomes.

Not only would it make your character more suitable for situations but it would make PvP even more interesting, not knowing what Hidden attributes they hold and actually devising a strategy to take them down.

You should also be able to switch Hidden skills or attributes on the fly, inside the skill window, instead of at the Master NPC. It would save time for travel or even save your skin depending on the situation. For PvP though, every new Round you have let’s say, 30 seconds up to a minute to prepare your Hidden attributes to suit your gameplay, then switch it up every Round to counter-attack. I think this will be a better use for the Hidden Classes.

Instead of shifting hidden Classes to Rank x, they should balance hidden Classes to be not overpowered like Miko.
Just looking at the new patch e.g. where Mikos Hamaya became stronger than Sadhus Possession again. That should never happen. It’s just retarded to make hidden Classes so useful that noone would want to take a normal Class featured on the same Rank(and thus make it even more stupid to lower them to Rank 2 or 3, because then they really would become meta or nerfed to oblivion to be equal to Rank 2).

Let’s face it, all hidden Classes released until now are mostly supportive towards the other Classes (i.e. they provide skills to increase the potential of the Base Class), so it doesn’t really matter where they are in the Class tree. The only issue people have is that they have to sacrifice a higher Rank to get them ( Rank 5, 6 or 7; which is totally fine since they provide much utility), thus lessening the potential damage output.

I believe it’s a fair trade-off,though, because we will most likely face 11 or 12 Ranks in total, which makes the hidden Classes more or less “in between-sacrifices”.

I agree so much with this. Everytime I check what kind of build I could do on a swordman, you are restricted because you’ll need a shield or a pet or a spear… god damn it. I feel like Rank 2 choice is really trash for Wizard and Swordman.
