Server Problems?

So, can we expect some server problems at launch time? I.e: General lag/disconnections, long log in times, slow start up? Seeing how they said that they weren’t expecting such a relatively large number of beta inscription, what can we look forward to happen?
Edit: If someone from high up could answer, like an admin, it would be very appreciated.

Expect somethign akin to Diablo 3’s “error 37” when it was first released

Yah expect a few emergency maintenence

Yes,fully expect delays getting in.A ton of us in the first test group couldn’t get in up to an hour after the testing started. It took me about 40 minutes to get in myself.

Expect lag in the starting area as well as many people will be coming and going at one time.

In other words,do not expect to start it up at 3 and it be smooth sailing.

So, all in all, is it worth to be trying to play at launch time?

That is all up to you to decide really.
You don’t really need someone to tell you yes or no do you?

Well I’m discussing it, that why forums exists no?

Thats the reason why i took leave from work on the 29th and 30th cause i know the first few days it will be unplayable due to lag and everybody beating the same monster…impossible to quest

I’m pretty sure forums weren’t made to come to an objective solution to a subjective problem. Trying would just lead to lots of angry comments which I’m pretty sure is against the forum guidelines.

You may as well ask “Hey guys is it better to play League of Legends or Dota 2?” you’ll get the same answer and the same amount of angry comments.

Thinking the same thing, but its going to happen anyway.

Or someone that really knows how to discuss intelligently would come up with the pros & cons of both subjects and give a general view of both for someone that is asking for an useful opinion, much unlike yours that doesn’t help either the topic or any of the stuff mentioned in the comment, thanks for your input tho, hope commenting here without contributing fulfilled you.

What are you talking about? I am providing the pros and cons of your discussion.

Pros
+You have one less decision to make.
Cons
-The answer will always be “up to you”
-You could incite angry comments and put people in a grumpy mood, which you have put yourself in now.
-Even if you decide it is worth trying to connect, it does not mean you will connect so your choice is meaningless.
-This entire thread was you asking a stupid question and trying to look smart.

Why would I feel fulfilled over this? you’re still being silly.

Sounds like i need to correct my countdown by a few hours. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Facts:

-There are 150k+ users registered for iCBT2.
-The forums have been lagging for the past few hours and I have received a few 504 errors already. I only expect the forums to get worse over the next 4 hours.
-There is currently 1 game server.
-If you try to log into the game as soon as it open, you will lag and it will take you a while to finally log in.
-Everyone logging in will all spawn in the same map. Hopefully ToS’s dynamic channel system will reduce some of the lag, but you will most likely spawn in a VERY busy channel regardless.
-A higher up, like an admin, will not respond to your thread (I am sure they have more important things to do with the CBT launch only hours away).

Now, whether it is “worth it to be trying to play at launch time”, is entirely subjective. Do you want to play ASAP (and waste a good portion of time just trying to log in and get started), or do you want to wait a few hours and have no trouble logging in and playing?
