Server Launch delayed up to 4 hours

Server Launch delayed up to 4 hours

No way :o
No update on the actual site yet though…

GREAT NEWS!! Yay :fearful::anguished::disappointed_relieved::cry::sob:

Looks like it’s official… hopefully it’s fixed soon!

Well, I did say that no MMO launch I’ve experience has gone smoothly and that I was planning for x hours of delay of some sort. Nothing new here.

Informing the users 15 minutes before the release was pretty unprofessional. But at least it wasn’t 5 minutes or something.

I got the news 10mins after 2:00am edt due to the sausage fest choking up the website. I think people that bought all three packs showing faith and maximum support should get a really big hat for the let down.

Game should of been released a week ago; which means they had more than enough time to prepare/test.

Yeah… the server never even went up… most mmo launches suck because of the massive unintentional DDOS hitting the servers. First time I’ve seen the server not even go up though lol

wtf did imc do for the whole week? first they set launch date to 22th after a week they delayed once again… come da fk on. don’t make promises you cant keep.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!!

Literally. >.>

This is not the first MMO which was pushed back and still failed at launch. Even bigger more experienced companies has done this.

If your competition makes such errors and mistakes, isn’t it your job to prevent the same thing from happening?

Especially if your company isn’t as big and you cannot afford to make such mistakes.

You’re just digging a deeper hole for them.

Didn’t something like this happen during ICBT2?

Anyways, patience. patience. I’d rather they took time to make sure there’s no screw ups later on than releasing it on demand only to crash again.

One could think that someone should learn from the mistakes, but after all these years it still happens.
Also, I would rather think of it as “Don’t worry, even the older ones makes mistakes” instead of the depressing version you pointed out.
But, some people are “half full” while others are “half empty”.

The problem is not about the launch having issues.

The problem is the apologists who think it’s okay when the company has already begun earning revenue off paying customers.

What depressing version.
I’m just making a statement from facts.

They’re a company, it is a business. They had time, they messed up.

If you go late to work every day and list all the reasons why (even if it’s accurate) do you think your boss will go:
“Oh don’t worry, people are late all the time!”

Well, “digging a deeper hole” sounds more depressing, don’t you think?

Anyhow, yes, they messed up. But it’s not their fault. I’m sure they have tested the servers etc before. Just look back on the betas and such. But somehow something happened which must’ve been unexpected.
Not the first time it happens, and it most definetly won’t be the last.

Edit: forum so slow, can barely post anything… =/

EditEdit: Thinking about your example of coming late to work, think like this aswell.
You’re driving to work, but along the way there was a crash and it takes x amount of time to clear the road and you’re getting late. Would you feel justified that the boss blames you that you’re late when it wasn’t your fault to begin with?

Here we go again…

“not their fault”
Odd.
