First off, I’m going to start by saying that I get along with all people, regardless of their race or language-- we’re all Human. But in just 2 days, it has become obvious that too many other people think otherwise. The Shout chat has been flooded with racism and culture-bashing, people have been having full-blown conversations on Shout in languages other than English (Yes I know this is International, but the company itself has stated this is the English version and English is an International language), and now it has even reached the point where non-English speakers are being kicked from party runs with no prior warning.
I know that many people hate their local publishers, so upon release, I’d suggest we do this on this version using Amazon AWS:
These server locations are places where Amazon AWS is available, and are located as follows:
North America: North Virginia (USA)
South America: Sao Paulo (Brazil)
Europe: Frankfurt (Germany)
Australia: Sydney (New South Wales)
This is not separating the community as you can still choose whichever server you want, and we’ll all still be using the same forum. Instead, this gives the people of those continents more of a reason to play on a server where they feel more at home, and not one that is full of prejudice. This also of course helps reduce the lag/latency in the process, which is a win/win situation. I hope that this can at least be given serious consideration, because a good game can be ruined by a bad community. We’d all like them both to be good.
Thank you.
