Seeking build advice for chaplain

I’ve been reading a few guides but the more i read, the more i get confused x.x

First of all, granted i’m going for full dps build (4 int 1 con prob), should i go C1 - P3 - Ch1 -D2, or C1 - P3 Ch1 - C2 - PD1? (if the first one, could you take a look at this build i’ve made :s http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/9n33l78xe9/ [and yes, i know Exorcise/Magnus Exorcismus is meh, but i just want that skill so badly and who knows, it might be buffed one day xD] ) (note: i’m prob gonna focus both pve and pvp, prob pve more than pvp)

second, blessing vs sacrament and aspersion vs mass heal, originally in my build i had sacrament at 8 and blessing at 1, while aspersion at 15 and mass heal at 5. But then i’ve noticed some ppl said that blessing is only good at lvl 3 and mass heal is only usefull at max lvl, so what do you guys think about them?

and lastly, if druid is better, is it worth to lvl Chortasmata beyond lvl 1?

thx in advance!

It really depends what you want. C2>PD is more of a support build. If you want to focus more towards DPS go Druid 2 or Krivis>PD after Chaplain.

As for your build:

  • Only put 1 in Exorcise. Put whatever points that are left in Aspersion.
  • Max Last Rites and pick between Magnus or Capella. Both are useless right now, anyway.

Blessing 3 and Sacrament 5 are fine. Aspersion is the heavy hitter for your autos, so put as many points as you can into that. Some people leave that at lower levels for more points in Resurrection/Revive and that’s fine if you want better support options. For now, putting more points into Chortasmata is the best option after Carnivory, Sterea, and Transform are maxed. Maybe when C3 comes out, you’ll take points out of that for other skills.

(ops late reply :s)

ah i see…

but why max last rites? doesnt it only increases the duration? (and it seems like it lasts longer than the cd anyway so that’s why i decided to fill the points in the other skills…)

and doesnt Magnus scales off exorcise?

Magnus exorcism isn’t a very reliable skill for battle clerics. You’re better off just buff your auto aspersions and do normal hits.

Finally someone doing 4 int 1 con chap and going for pve and pvp. Have you decided ur Rank 6 and Rank 7?

@Sandstorm

Why max Last Rites? From what I’ve read around here, Last Rites is like an add on to Sacrament. Doesn’t Sacrament and Blessing fall off game after lvl 200? Or is that for pve only and they would still be useful for pvp?

Would appreciate some insights. I have not allocate any points in any skills atm except for Aspersion due to all the different opinions in different guides (tho they are mostly for pve)

Hi. Sorry…I haven’t been checking the forums. Last Rites adds another line of damage that scales off your sacrament level so maxing it doesn’t give you more damage, but it does increase the duration up to 5min. Makes it a lot easier to manage imo. Blessing and Sacrament do fall off, but the more points you put into Sacrament, the more you get out of Last Rites as well. Since they’re both Holy property, both will do 2x damage to a lot of mobs later in the game too.

Really, you can leave Last Rites at level 1 if you really want to. I just don’t see why you would want to recast it sooner than later and why the points would be better off in Capella/Magnus. Exorcise/Magnus might actually be decent if IMC changes it, so I put my remaining 5 points into that. I don’t ever really use Capella since the buffs last like 30s, the table gets knocked around, and it costs 1k per cape. No thanks.

@Sandstorm

Could I check if you doing a pvp/pve build or just pve? What are the lvl of your Sacrament and Blessing? Lots of ppl are saying to keep them around 3 points or so as they fall off after lvl 200.

if you want to go pvp i say you go for 3 int: 1 con : 1 dex. or forget abt hitting those dex build

I actually am running a PvE Druid c2 build. My blessing is level 3 and
sacrament is level 5. At level 5, sacrament is the same duration as last
rites so it’s super easy to maintain. And yes, they do fall off a bit
late-game because they don’t scale. Taking a few points out of them for
more points in Revive, Resu, Mass Heal, and Stone Skin is hella worth it
because you’re only giving up a few hundred damage for way better
solo/party survivability imo

You must have blessing lvl 3 to open the attribute Enhance for extra damage so yeah, you must have Blessing lvl 3.

@furkingbustar

Im doing int and con only atm. Con i’m not sure how much im going for. Prolly stop at 100 stats. Im not sure if that is good enough.

@Sandstorm

I also intend to focus on Revive, Resu, Mass Heal, Aspersion. Still not sure about Stone Skin since I have 0 SPR atm. Also read that it might be getting nerfed to SPR x 0.5 instead of the current x4. So im conflicted about SPR.

Could you adv me more about your build? I read in another thread you were saying between Safety Zone and some other class skill, you could make up 40 sec of invincibility.

@Skyphire

Could I check if blessing at 3 is still useful or I could just ignore that skill? And Sacrament too please. I can’t make up my mind about these two skills.

P.S: Sorry for all the questions. I did not play CBT or kTOS. Only started playing like 10 days ago so I know nothing about end game things and could only rely on forumers.

I think the nerf is only applied during team battle league.

Well, at least, I hope.

@dapheni
Imo, blessing still sweet since you got extra damage for every attack. And i must say Sacrament and Blessing is must have for Chaplain build. I have Sacrament 10 and Blessing 3. However you can leave Sacrament at lvl 5 so can recast it with Last Rites at the same time. But for Blessing it must be at least 3, since you got huge benefit of damage from it.

@mrshadowccg

:sob: GvG is actually what i love the most! Guess that settled stone skin for me. The skill to get if I actually have extra points.

@Skyphire

So basically Blessing 3 for enhancement. Then Sacrament 5 for Last Rites.

Did anyone of you increase damage attribute for Cure and Heal? I wonder if that will be useful in pvp.

@dapheni
Certainly. My build is more suited towards PvE. The invincibility skill for Druids is called Sterea Trofh. Basically it’s like another safety zone that can be used on yourself or on a patch of grass you put down for yourself+allies and makes you invincible for a number of seconds without a hit limit. At level 5, it has a 30s CD and lasts for 10s so in lots of cases you can give yourself a lot of invincibility by casting Sterea, followed by Safety Zone when it expires, and Sterea again when Safety Zone expires. I don’t think it’s good for GvG because your allies are confined to the small patch of grass to gain/maintain the invincibility. I think Cleric C2 w/ PD/Oracle/Kabbalist might be your best bet for PvP/GvG. I myself am rolling a Monk for those modes.

As for Stone Skin, I still think it’s worth having. AFAIK those nerfs don’t apply to our version yet.

I leveled up the Cure damage attribute, but not the Heal one. I only have 5 tiles, so I use them for healing only. I know Heal can be pretty bursty if you hit with a lot of tiles so some people do level up the attribute.

@Sandstorm

I’m still really baby level atm. As mentioned I only started like 10 days ago. Taking the game slow and learning about game stuffs too.

So im thinking by the time I reached lvl 200+, the nerf might be here LOL

Thanks for explaining abt Sterea. That doesn’t sound feasible in GvG. I haven’t decided on my path after Chaplain. I still have to figure out my priest skills first. But Im quite tempted by C2 coz of Safety Zone.

I have been using Heal damage on mobs and it seems quite useful so Im thinking of lvl’ing the attribute too.

And I really appreciate everyone’s input to my questions. All those inputs are really helping alot, especially for someone who has never played CBT.

Haha. That’s a very real possibility. Well, I’m glad you’re taking the time to enjoy and learn the game.

Cleric C2 is highly recommended for end-game content and PvP. If you decide not to get C2 at Rank 6, then maybe consider Oracle into PD/Kabbalist? Feel free to ask if you have any other questions that come up along the way. Good luck!

@Sandstorm

:open_mouth: then I might go for cleric C2 it is :smiley:

So far my questions up to date are answered. Although I am pretty sure I would have more questions when I advanced through the game.

Thank you everyone for helping out. I have a clearer picture now and less worried that I might be doing the game wrong. No restat potion is really scary!

@dapheni

Sry for the late reply, but yeah i decided to stick with the build in the first post, druid looks pretty fun imo (and i hope that they buff exorcise/magnus in the future xD)

OT: does anyone know if aspergillum works while you’re under transform as a druid? (like, you cast it then switch to something like a Pawnd, will your auto’s still proc it or does the buff wear off/doesnt work?)

@Todomatsu

Np. I was just really excited that someone building the same stat as I am.

And sorry for hijacking your thread for my questions :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope they make exorcise/magnus useful in future too. For now they’re in the “skills i am never getting” list.
