Secrets of the Shinobi ( Highlander, Corsair build)

Hello curious readers, current and future potential shinobi players, there is alot of shinobi guide out there, especially @Stormwolf [NINJA COMMUNITY] Shinobi Class build, etc he has alot of reading that can go indepth as you scroll thru the comments, anyways lets cut to the chase, here are some findings from myself a S1,H3,C2,Shinobi and others who have contributed but wish to remain anonymous:

  1. You may have heard that us Shinobi’s can’t auto attack while equipped with a 2H weapon, well there is a way, however sadly this means you have to weapon swap to 1H+Offhand. I will test the damage when my 2H is as good as my current 1H + offhand and let you know if it’s worth doing this.

  2. Bushin is buggy and miss casting some skills and autoattack, if you want it to hit you need to delay casting the overheat skills kunai (kunai > wait3-5sec(or throw some bashes)> kunai again) note that if you use any other skill in between the kunai that isn’t from swordsman class you risk it not working.

  3. H3 skull swing does not reduce def to 0 in pvp, it however does increase your damage on target by 67% (more research will be done here soon, tested using sword on plate user who happens to be 40 levels above me, note sword suffers 25% damage penalty on plate hence why it seemed like a good way to test skull swing).

  4. Highlander crossguard immobilizes anyone who does physical attack + increase pierce damage on them, the immobilize has worked on magic but will need more testing.

  5. Corsair iron hook with attribute can hold 3 mobs which makes it easier to lure more then you should and position yourself right without suffering lots of damage with clones. This is also good in 5v5 or gvg as you prevent 3 players from attacking while you bash or kunai anyone who approaches you.

  6. Corsair iron hook + kneel will freeze you from using any skill or movement while it’s being channeled, however you can counter this by jumping backwards then moving towards target and casting your bash to knockback enemy while still being dragged. (worth doing only if enemy is caught at a distance).

  7. JollyRoger unity attribute can save you when you are in a party, you can tell it works when you see the yellow text “Miss” when it pops out.

  8. Contrary to popular belief Mokuton no Jutsu does not need to be leveled up to 2 to utilize the attribute the 4 second restrain. Level 2 just increases duration of the skill and the attribute duration by 1 second each.

  9. Crosscut, Moulinet, Dust devil delay an enemies attack, combined with your other disables such as bash, wagon wheel, hook you can lock 4-6 enemies out of attacking you based on your aoe ratio and how you position yourself without getting a single scratch.

about kunai
at level 5 is 426 damage
and it hit 5x times
so the damage is 426 x 5 = 2130 ?

Storage mobs (262) cast Pain Barrier, that prevents the stagger debuff. All type of Nuos and Sockets in general. (Blue Nuo, Archers on dg240, Sockets on Thaumas Trails etc)

It hits 4 (small, medium) - 5 (large,boss?) times depending on size.
Damage is (426+physical damage+elemental damage+additional damage on size/armor based on weapon) x 4

example: if you have 600 physical damage and attack plate armor monster using catacomb blade (+456 dmg on plate) and arde + 153 fire then:

(426+600+153+456) x 4
1635 x 4 = 6540.

Do note i excluded calculations of critical, monster defense and element resistance, also note that kunai is pierce which doesn’t suffer plate armor penalty.
