Secondary Equips do not automatically swap on melee when using skill which Equipped items cant use

Bug Description :
Melee primary equipment doesn’t swap into secondary equipment when primary equipment can’t use the skill e.g. equip 1H sword as primary and 2H sword as secondary and cast Crossguard on 1H sword. However, if you do the same thing on an archer, if you use Stone shot when you have a 2H bow as Primary and Xbow as secondary, it will automatically swap for that Stone shot and switch back. Seems one or the other was not intended

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Pick a melee skill, have the weapon needed as secondary weapon, e.g. 2H sword, and equip an incompatible weapon as Primary and cast Cross-Guard. Error will show on screen saying you dont have the equipped weapon
  2. Pick a ranged skill, e.g. Stone shot, equip 2H bow as Primary and have the xbow weapon as secondary. Cast Stone shot and it will automatically switch to xbow to stone shot and item switches back to 2H bow

They do. Or at least, they’re supposed to. It was a change on kToS before we went into CBT, and we’ve had it since then.

Using a xbow only attack will automatically swap to xbow if you have on set in your weapon swap slot. It will then go back to your previous weapon. This change was made to allow fletchers and musketeers to still use their other skills while wearing Muskets and 2H bows, since Alt+Z can be relatively wonky at times.

The thing is, the change wasnt JUST for those two classes. Even a few warrior skills will properly switch to the other weapon for a skill (say, using a doppel 2H sword skill while wearing a 2H spear and having a 2H sword in your weapon swap slot)

It’s just not working for everything (as I too found out when shield skills on pelt wouldnt auto-swap from 2h swords)

uh, what? I wasnt agreeing with you. Weapons DO swap automatically. They ARE meant to swap automatically. THAT is what they patched in. Read the rest of the post would you.

And that’s the glitch. They’re supposed to swap automatically.

It works fine for some weapon types (again, Xbows to 2hbows work perfectly fine, as intended), but not for others while it should.
