Search party when already in one

I was wondering if you use the search party system with a pre-made party you still get the exp bonus.

Premade partys can not search for party even if they have slots open. Premade partys do not get the bonus exp from search party. The best you can do atm is leave your party and all try to search for party at the same time, or just deal with the lack of bonus exp but guarantee you’re with your friend.

Well you can use party search while you are in a party currently, but that doesn’t guarantee you that you will get into the same instance. The bonus XP will be given as long as you enter via party search.

Edit: Also make sure you use the “Like” function on your friends. This increases your chance to be matched up (but low level difference has higher priority).
