Since release, I mostly played on Cleric tree and always watched closely the Sadhu class. I think the class is in a good spot right now, but when thinking about it I’ve got some ideas and I would like to share them in case they could serve for something in future balance patches:
Out of Body: this skill received some minor changes and bug corrections across all this time, but nothing actually drastically changed. This is the most iconic Sadhu skill in my opinion, and also the most weak.
First, I think that description should be clear about how this skill works. Instead of one damage split in 3 lines, the skill could have a damage interval value and a % magic attack value, similar to Zaibas, Black Death Steam, Incineration,…
This way it would be clear this skill works like any other skill, and not like auto-attacks. Next, you don’t need to increase the attack value. Something like 100% magic attack + attributes is ok, but instead of frontal attacks, the skill could hit around the player in a dome area, and ignore AOE ratio limit.
And finally, while in Spirit form your damage is increased by x%, or at least increased damage for Possession, and it can have an attribute to cast Possession or all skills from the spirit location. This way you actually have a benefit in using the Spirit form, but also a trade-off for not being able to move your body. Another trade-off could be some sort of mana consumption, but it would not be fair with your body exposed and stuck in the field.
Transmit Prana: my previous suggestions do something that Transmit Prana already does currently: increases Possession damage, transmit stats to allies and gives additional damage to the caster. Now that most buffs are being reworked to 300 seconds, I think Transmit Prana could have some changes as well. With the increased damage provided by Out of Body Spirit form, Transmit Prana could be changed to a 300 seconds self-buff that only provides additional stats (or transfer a portion of your stats) to nearby allies while you are in spirit form.
This way you have more Out of Body interaction and a more reliable way to provide the additional stats (the core idea of Transmit Prana) to other allies.
Vashita Siddhi is another skill that could have some changes on PvE (like imprisoning enemies instead of reducing stats) but since I don’t know its benefits on PvP, I’ll not suggest anything else for now.
The overall idea is not increasing direct damage to Sadhu, but making the class stronger while in spirit/meditation state. Also, I think Transmit Prana currently is out of place: it should be a supportive skill, but players get it for self benefits.
