Sadhu Class Rework :D

Hello, Saviors !! today, i am here to share my ideas on a rework of one of cleric’s buggiest, unpopular, unrecognizeable class!

i really love the concept of sadhu but its state is SO bad right now that half of the playerbase doesnt even know it exists. its sad that the class with the best concept in the game (imho) is pretty much forgotten by the devs and playerbase.

[details=What is Sadhu?]sadhu is a rank 4 cleric class that has a role of dps and semi-support.

Sadhu has the most unique ability in the game called OOB or Out Of Body
in which the sadhu’s Ghost will jump out of the player’s body and attack enemies with an attack called “Ectoplasm attack”. While in this state, the player levitates and is very vulnerable.[/details]

OOB: this is sadhu’s Signature skill, for being the most unique skill in the game (imo) around 50% of the players dont even know what OOB stands for.
the sadhu’s spirit jumps out of the player’s body, the spirit has increased movement speed and attacks “fast”
Changes:

  • The Spirit will now attack faster
  • Hitbox is increased to the size of the animation
  • Spirit Attacks will now have a 10% chance to apply a debuff “Agent”
    -Agent (Agent - someone who is the focus of poltergeist activity) : Level 1 Debuff that Decreases magical Defence by 30%, all ectoplasm attack damage that is done on another enemy will also deal 100% of the damage to the enemy effected by agent
    Example: Kepa #1 is effected by Agent. Kepa #2 is attacked with oob. Kepa #1 also takes the same amount of damage. this can be applies infinitely, meaning that if 100 kepas have agent debuff, and i attack an enemy, all 100 of the kepas will take damage

prakriti: moves the body to unite with the spirit again.
nothing really wrong with this skill, except for a bug where you will sometimes not be fully moved to where the spirit was, but will be moved a small distance behind the spirit.

Astral Body Explosion: Terrible skill imo. this skill gives a 90% chance to be locked in rubberbanding and freezing that will last forever unless you use oob then prakriti. and it does such low damage that its not even worth using it, the bug has more of an impact on your performance than the damage and knockback it provides.

Changes:

  • Fixed the bugs
  • Damage Greatly increased

Vashiita Siddhi: Not a terrible skill, reduces stats of effected enemies and has a “50% chance” to confuse enemies.

Changes:

  • Vashiddha Siddhi will have a 10% chance that will proc each second to enemies in AOE to give the debuff “ignus fatuus”
    -ingnuss fatuus: (ignus fatuus - A phosphorescent or spectral light that that is alleged to be an indication of death. This phenomenon is thought to be caused by spontaneous combustion of gases emitted by rotting organic matter.) a level 2 debuff that gives enemies 6 seconds to leave the AOE or else will replace the debuff with a aging debuff
    aging: level 1 debuff that will slow enemy by 20% +10% every 2 seconds, will also drain health of the enemy. this debuff lasts 10 seconds.

Possesion: the main reason people go for sadhu, the name doesnt really live up to the skill or the animation, but the skill is really promising, but is very siuational.

Changes:

  • Possession will no longer be canceled by attacks

Medium

( Elise: the medium from insidious)

Medium: Someone who professes to be able communicate with spirits on behalf of another living being, acting as a midway point halfway between the worlds of the living and the dead.

this skill will temporarily apply a buff that greatly increases your OOB damage, allows you to use Seance skill

CD: 30 seconds
Duration: 15 seconds

Seance:

Seance:a meeting at which people attempt to make contact with the dead, especially through the agency of a medium

this skill can only be used with the medium buff on.

Skill: you will pull out a table and you and all your party members will sit down, during the aniamtion you and your party member are immue to all sources of damage or cc (including knockabck and knocdown, also includes status ailemnts), eveyr party member must press the correct skill key that pops up on the screen to fill a meter, while meter is being filled, ghosts will appear, that wont do anything, when meter is finally full, the ghosts will rampage, and damage the enemies, ghosts will stay and fight for 30 seconds + 10 seconds per skill level. ghosts will use ectoplasm atack, possession, teleport (phycokino) and cloaking (scout).
once the meter is filled, you and your party memebrs are free and can now be attacked/cc.

SEANCE CAN ONLY BE USED IN A PARTY OF 2 OR MORE PLAYERS!
ALL PARTY MEMBER MUST BE NEARBY TO USE SEANCE!

CD: 2 minutes

Transmit Prana is now deleted from the game.

They have increased the hitbox of OoB, it just hasn’t been updated to iToS yet. Sadhu’s C3 skill does need to be adjusted a bit. It is too situational. And the rubberband/lock down bugs needs to be fixed. Other than that, I feel that Sadhu is fine where it is. No need to implement anything else to change it.

I actually think Unnerfed Sadhu minus the Tile Interaction would do well in atleast PvP scenarios.

Just make Astral Explosion ignore X% of magic defense when exploding, perhaps add a slow device onto Vashita.

MAYBE give Possession resistance to cancel on damage and moreso on knockback, as if comparable to Surespell. However, one has to be very careful with this as it can very well start a generation of QQ Sadhu life.

Medium seems like a meh buff, I actually would just like Transmit Prana to do some slightly different things, especially if it means I can still buff my OoB form. Maybe even have a toggleable set of attributes that’d let you transfer/boost your offensive capability into your OoB or throw your defensive capabilities into your allies to get some sort of effect. In return, T.Prana’s cooldown goes down HARD to achieve a more flexible skill that buffs with some real meaning.

Seance however sounds fairly broken in a mode like Team Battle League where suddenly a Sadhu becomes a Necromancer. I sort of like the idea of it, but it’d be as toxic as peeps who don’t rush Ausrine and let people repetively get invulnerability.

All I’d really want is for OoB to have no startup animation (or exiting animation). Just press it, and you instantly have control of the spirit to start attacking with.
(Or at least, dramatically speed up the startup/ending animation)
I feel that it takes too long to activate, that once you have Possession there’s simply no time that you can activate OoB without losing DPS.

While other buffs to OoB might be nice (Damage, Hidden Buffs, Attack Speed), it would probably take a bit of playing with to make sure it’s balanced correctly.
It’s nice that kTOS has a hitbox increase (10x30 -> 15x50); so hopefully that fixes the hitbox problems.


Speaking of Hitboxes, it seems kTOS has an increase on Possession’s hitbox too. Hopefully that’s enough to make it not randomly miss as often. Otherwise Possession is fine.

If anything, I’d like a buff like “You can OoB attack while channeling with Possession” or “Possession when Out of Body will cast from the location of your spirit, instead of your body” to give more synergy between OoB and Possession.


ABE of course needs the position bugging to be fixed. Otherwise, yes the damage needs to go up dramatically in order for this to be useful.
Either:

  • A much stronger base modifier
  • A much stronger damage increase per level
  • A modifier that increases per level
  • Or make it increase the number of hits per level. (Lv/2 Hits? So Lv1 = 1 Hit, Lv5 = 3 hits, Lv10 = 5 Hits)
    IDK which fix, but at its current state, I wouldn’t even use it if IMC awarded my Sadhu Lv15 ABE with 0 skill points invested on my end.

Give back the Unerfed aspd OoB and make possession a Holy version of frost cloud without channeling
