I’m just curious why people change character in the last part of saalus missions. They constantly change every run they do. I saw others do it too before in my previous parties. Is there a reason why, and should i be doing it too? I tried asking the person but he doesn’t respond.
Unlike instanced dungeons, there’s no “return to town” button at the end of Saalus missions, so people go back to the character selection screen instead because they don’t want to wait to be warped back to Saalus Convent. Many people also run Saalus missions with multiple character, so this makes things faster.
Nono, i do that too. What i mean is they change character even before we finish killing the final boss 
You mean they’re leaving before killing the last boss?
If they’re leaving and not coming back, pay attention to the team names of the players inside the instance and if someone’s AFK. Some people do multiboxing with alt accounts and should be reported and banned.
Ohh. it’s starting to make sense. This time we were 3 in the party, one being AFK at the entrance and the other one doing the killing with me. That guy(killer) logged out, but, he came back as another character and entered that same instance.
Most people will switch before final boss because their alternate characters (on the same account) are too ineffective to do Saalus solo.
This is a common strategy for running alts through saalus and it is fine to do (within the terms of service). Since saalus was nerfed you see it less and less but it is fine.
Goal is to use your beefy strong main character to clear most of saalus, then switch to an alt on the last boss so they get the rewards. This does not use up the entry on your main, so you can continue to do this for as many alts as you want.
Hmm, I didn’t know that was possible using the auto-match function.
