[SA] Silute High Latency (ping)

Hello, im a brazilian living in Bahia (Norteast state of Brazil). I was waiting for a ping less than 0.070 when the SA server came to ToS. but actually my ping is oscilating between 0.100 and 0.320 in game, while everyone, even people from my own city is getting a ping of less than 0.070.

I think that this is probably a problem with my route or ISP. But i just don’t know how to solve this problem.

My internet connection is Oi Velox 10Mb.

This is what i get when i use tracert to command to Silute server in CMD:

What is strange is that in CMD the ping is often less than half of the ping i get in game.

I have a similar problem. My ISP is Net Virtua 10Mb.
When I ping the echo server directly I get 70 ms. However, it is known that the ping you get in-game is a little higher than the one you get from pinging the echo server directly.

My ping in-game is 90 ~ 450ms. It oscillates A LOT, which is very annoying. I get a constant 80 ms in League of Legends, so I think that it can be one of those things:

  1. The route our ISP uses to connect to the server is bad (which can be seen through tracert)
  2. The server is experiencing issues (such as DDoS, high flux) or it just sucks.
  3. The way ToS handles connections is horrible and it causes most people to have higher than average ping and/or oscillating ping.

If it is number 1, you can call your ISP and see what can be done.
If it is number 2, IMC has to fix SA servers someway.
If it is number 3, IMC has to find better developers and rework the way the game handles connections.

So, yeah, lets hope its 1 or 2.

I’m having problems since friday. It goes up to 300ms and down to 30 again. Probably related to the number of players online.

Keep in mind the ping server is not the actual game server. It’s just in the same place, like an empty server for testing purposes.

Considerando que Silute esta com serios problemas de conexão para muitos jogadores, eu acho que avaliar o seu ping nesse momento seria precipitado.

Talvez seu ping alto, seja reflexo desses problemas do servidor, e não da sua conexão.

I can`t play mage. Even if I cc the mob, walk away, start casting something I always get interrupted.

My ping using cmd: 30ms
My ping using //ping in game: 300ms

400 de ping, eu tô jogando o Koreano ou o SA?! Em Orsha tava muito melhor… pqp
