Runing shot changes

Kneeling Shot and Bazooka can’t be used together. Running Shot can be used with either one

Got it.
So, what’s the point of having an attribute specifically tailored for the cannoneer on Kneeling?
And most important, which is stronger between the two?

[kneeling shot] + cannon is more mobile (by a lot) because kneeling takes less time to get in and out off. The only offensive bonus you get is crit rate.

[bazooka] + cannon is a lot slower but it is guaranteed additional damage (50% now and 100% when we get r9). A crit adds 50% more damage so offensively [bazooka] is already stronger. It also turns the AA into an AoE.

So, old better or new better ?
dev said dmg is lower but if like @Ivion said
the new is better.

I didn’t say new formula is better. As devs said, new formula will only apply 200% bonus damage as opposed to 300% physical attack bonus from old formula. New formula may only be better for crit builds.

Let me elaborate in case of cannoneer:

1- old running shot gives more damage, but the uptime is pretty low. And even worse for cannoneers during bazooka.
The main reason cannoneers don’t take ranger on their builds is: the buff that gives extra missile damage lasts too little to be a thing on extented fights, and setting up bazooka requires you to buff prior the bazooka (because you cannot use skills during bazooka, except cannoneer’s) and the setup time eats 1/4 of the buff duration.

Also, after it goes off you need to leave bazooka (which requires time) in order to buff again.

2- same applies for running shot. The duration was too little and got eaten up by bazooka. Now that we don’t have to pay att to the duration, actually, we have more to do actual DPS.

So for me it’s a win. Even though running hits for less dmg we keep it active more time than it used to be.

I’ve asked around and no one seems to have up to date information regarding Didel Grand Cross. Is this still meta if I transcend and upgrade as a placeholder for the r9 crossbow? Meta or not, I’m using it as a cheaper alternative for when my event xbow expires.

i think dont need to refine or transcend the xbow with Double pistol stance… if you go with bm of course…

From what i’ve been reading it might still be a good idea to do it, depending on wich class you choose.

For example Fal (Fal3 mostly ?) might be affected by the xbow still for some skills.

Otherwise yeah, since bm skills uses the stance, the pistol is a priority i guess (especially if you focus on AA ?).

doesn’t it works properly with SR?

have some video to show the dmg of falc with nice pistol and low bugded x bow? i need to see this… dont make sense if all skills pick pistols damage in double gun stance.

Nah it’s mostly stuff i’ve been reading on the archer part of the forums, i don’t remember any video about it.

If anything most BM vids just uses BM skills and shows AA.
One thing you could notice though is that whenever you use a skill that isn’t from the BM class, it cancels the stance, so it would make sense if xbow was used for non-BM skills.

Guys! Your main hand xbox is still used for damage, even when you have Dual gun Stance. If the skill uses pistol for the attack, then it uses the pistols damage. If normally the attack uses your main hand for damge, it will continue to use your mainhand for damage.

How about skills that DON’T require specific weapons? Hunter, sapper, appraiser, wugushi, and falconers have skills that don’t require specific weapons. My assumption would be only xbow main hand skills will look for the xbow stats when you are in DGS. I have no way to test though.

DGC is a purple lv220 xbow. even you +11 and trans 5 it, dmg is very low compared to higher level xbow. You can use it while farming 350 dungeon xbow but forever.

However if you are AA BM or canon then DGC is fine since your dmg is from 2nd weapon. In brief, it is not suggested to trans DGC. Just make it to +11 and wait for 350 dungeon xbow.

Dual Gun Stance is supposed to applied on AA and BM skills only. Other non-BM skills will be based on primary damage. Please remember that your primary patk is still the same when you use Dual Gun Stance. If falconer, hunter make you feel confused then remember the Blindside of appraiser. This skill does not require any weapon to cast and its dmg is based on main hand weapon.

For the casting animation, xbow will show up for a bit when you use many non-BM skills like Magic Arrow.

Does DGC buff (running shot +2) remain if i weapon swap afterwards?

IIRC this trick was fixed. If you change weapon, your buff level will be reduced, the duration may be the same.

I see… thanks for confirming!

Just to add, I think it works differently with attributes.

The QS3 attribute with shield which gives +phy attack for 10s depending on shield defenses remains even after switching weapons. Just tried that on my toon…

Thanks @Krystal

lol the duration increase dont come to us tomorrow ><
