This quest is broken. It has no reward. When you try to open the chest quest simply disappears.

I can confirm this is true. Tried it with two characters and no reward. Very eerie.

this is true. happened to me yesterday. I was like “for real?”
Happened to me too. But I’ve noticed I have a new title under the “Character” tab in Character Information (F1): “The Greatest Heir”.
It feels useless, though. I want loot.
