Role selection for dungeon finder

put in the finder a option to chose your character role, like world of warcraft, this way people will complain less about, comps in dg system.

Yea but we don’t have talent trees. So things like crit monks could mark them selves healers. It just doesn’t work the way the class system is set up.

It could work if the ingame report function was more detailed.

Yea cut then whats the cut off for healing

Min cleric 2?
or priest 1 cleric 1?

A finder with such specifications would be difficult

Not to mention what would qualify a tank, as you don’t have to be peltast to tank, it more depends on your stats as the swordsman passive holds aggro easy.

Depends on the situation, and if the guy does do his job. I don’t think this depends on the Characters class ranks, but on what the guy actually does. I’ve seen peltesta in the lv50 dungeon just sitting next to the fore and pulling one or maybe two mobs in the whole dungeon… That guy absolutely had the class that could have done the job, but he just didnt want to.

Yea but what i am referring to is a crit builf monk has heal and can technically “heal” and que as healer but in reality we know he can’t heal the high dungeons successfully.

With our class system it just seems like the que would be abused for easy entrance.

I’m saying the same that you tried to say.

Yes, ppl could abuse it and there’s no way to stop ppl from doing that, hence we would need a more detailed report system, where we could actually say, like, “That guy has only Cleric1 and went full crit monk, but queued for te dungeon as Healer”, and the guy could be warned or suspended for 3 days for his filthy behavior :imp:

But, as my peltesta example shows, ppl are abusing the current match making system, too. It would be better to get queues first and see how bad it goes, not cry about it before anything happens.

Ah i follow, you want a report system that lets you select or type in the reason for report, as a way to enforce and prevent such behavior.

That is a horrible idea. It would lead to reporting people based on skill level.

What about if you have an INT Krivis (Cleric 1, Krivis 3) … they queue as a healer, and a good player would be able to heal and support just fine, whereas a bad player might struggle.

Are you going to report the person for queueing as a healer just because you did not think they supported you well enough? What if you just suck at playing your own character and died too much?

Would that be so horrible?

And of course everybody else can report me, too. If I’m just dying because I didn’t get even one point of CON or if I don’t deal damage because I’m too careful and don’t trust myself with going near the boss, I am a burden to the other members and should be reported as well, right?

No. I do not think you should be reported. If you AFK through the entire dungeon, or stand back and watch without ever attacking once - sure , you should get reported. But if you just suck at playing, you shouldn’t get reported, that would just create an incredibly toxic atmosphere.

If you want a perfect group, you can just join a dungeon with a pre-made.

GMs have better things to do than be the noob-police - handing out temp bans for players that don’t know how to play.

True. Perhaps a bit of everything. I’d still like a more detailed reporting system.

guys, i think if want to select healer role as crit monk, in early dungeons you probably goin to do well Cleric C1>Priest C3>Monk… but higher levels dungeons if you queue as healer and youre not a healer your party will fail and you will be unable to complete the dg. in the end the troll gets trolled
