final fantasy 14. I’m a white mage main… (so healer… of course) and i dunno, i adore the art, and its fun for me, its just end game dungeon runs really wear a person down after time. There is only so much you can handle of people blaming you for their dying before you want to punch the weak link in the face (lovingly). Ah the life of a healer XD
Haha, sounds like you had a lot of fun in it xD some people really do need to be punched sometimes though, it has to be said xD
I never tried final fantasy past 7 I think so I might be missing out honestly ^^ I’ve mostly played RO when I was younger, tried most of the mmo’s on the market then settled in darkfall online for a couple of years and well now I’m here. Mostly cause of the nostalgia though, I’d play RO from time to time still but with private servers if i’d play it from time to time, the server would most likely die before I could get the ball rolling. I was never the healer in any game I played though, I was always a vicious bloody killer xD
I guess it’s still beta, new classes are going to be added, old ones changed - what we see ourselves as right now might not be viable/fun to play tomorrow so we’ll see how it goes
ah! RO was my first MMO as well. i think i started playing the very end of HS and then i played through some of college. then went something like FF11 > WoW> Aion > Warhammer >Tera > FF14 or… something like that at least. every so often i make a character on RO again and maybe get it to the first set of transcendent classes… butttt then i stop. in the last few years especially… i cant buy any gear XD 99 mil for a darn bow = brutal.
as for classes i mean 99% of the time i’ll play a healer when im playing with someone else but then i’ll make a something else to mess around with on my own. RO was my agi knight and a hunter… and final fantasys online i tend to play monk or bards (they are more like hunters in FF though)
when ToS finally launches i’d love to try at least one from each base class… something smashy from swordies, full healer from clerics… something i can solo with on archers… and i dont even know on casters… i mean aside from healing i think magic users is always my last priority leveling… it just never clicks too well. i have to wait until someone makes a super specific guide where i can just be like "ok… steps 1 - 20 (check) "
i think the earliest final fantasy i played was… 9? i came super late to the game XD only started playing video games after i met my husband (at the time boyfriend)… before then it was all study study study and sports or reading.
You should try everything, me I’m gonna powerlevel as usual though ^^ That’s just what I do, I finish pve to get to pvp as soon as possible. I like intelligent opponents is all, AI is never good enough for me. That’s why I could never really get into raid based games
I have a feeling we are very different players but it doesn’t really matter as long we have fun, right? ^^
Your husband did you a big favour then by introducing you to the world of games it seems xD
Barbarian has nerfed so damn much… That videos is very old…
Barbarian only had extra crit chance… the damage came from Highlander’s 2h swrod attribute and, on this video, from Doppel’s Deeds of Valor (+50% atk).
Doppel needs a nerf on Deeds, imo. The buff is about the aspd bonus and 50% patk for free is too much (like losing 50% def is that big of deal, come on).
3% patk per stack would be enough, making 15% at max stacks.
It is when the map is full of archer mobs that have a 100% hit rate since their attacks are locked onto you
You can’t run away from the archer of doom!
O.o eh… it’s 10% PER stack. Not max. So since you can only get Deeds of Valor to level 5 skill, it’s 50% ATK and -50% DEF.
It was crit chance that got transfered to Cleave, crit damage was from Highlander’s attribute, which got nerfed.
And I said Doppel had +50% atk because it’s 10% x 5 stacks… which is huge since it acts multiplicatively with skill attributes and crit modifiers. You don’t even need to be equiped with a 2h sword to use it.
Really? So does every level give +10%? That ridiculous crazy… I can see nerf coming from miles…They should make it flat like Finestra…
How they nerfed highlander? It seems still give 10% critical damage… No attribute level anymore?
Naw Deeds of Valor is fine with increasing per stack however the stack increase is too much atm. You have to get hit to get the stacks up in the first place so you’re taking damage and if used against a mob that can kill you in a few hits, you’re not really inclined to take hits
Like @Satoru said, it’s better if the increase per hit wasn’t as high as it is currently. I think a final stack at level 15 would be nice at 50% with an increase of 3.33% per stack. You’d have to get hit 15 times by that time and still survive since your defense would be decreasing at the same amount as your increase in ATK.

[/quote]Idk if it had more % per level or more levels, but now it has 5 levels with 10% damage each, so +50% crit damage.
You guys really derailed my thread :3 its fine though, good info there.
So basically what we know right now is that doppel, druid and monk are OP. Though druid and monk ( druid also got a separate nerf ) got the nerf stick on them through divine might.
I saw nothing out of mages that would make me go “wow, thats awesome” yet, and even though steparu played some archer into sapper last cbt and well sapper seemed alright, I still havent seen a very strong mage or archer.
I’ll learn more about wugushi for now, and maybe go that way prior to fletcher. I mean, if wugong gu would be triggered by poison ticks from zhendu, it could be quite a bit of damage, plus there’s an easy way to activate confusion. Maybe even hunter into wugushi so levelling is easier, prior to fletcher.
What do you guys think, is wugushi trash or has potential?
Edit: jesus, so many typos xD hate using my phone on forums
Wugushi should be pretty dang good as a class considering it’s DoT debuff is amazing at least from what I’ve seen. Of course they’re basically the PvE version of Fletcher as far as I’m concerned.
Combine a Wugushi with a Pardoner and you’ll be dishing out a lot more damage with Discerning Evil increasing the duration of your poison by at max 20 seconds atm.
It looks nice on paper, but seems like they really need a buff as is. Ehh. Can’t decide.
Archer c2 into sapper c3 into reiter, if only you could place traps while mounted. I guess its still usable for mobbing, being mounted so it should have some form of synchronization.
If we knew more about canonneer, I’d pbly go archer c2, sapper c3 into scout into canonneer. We really do need more damn info about the game ^^
oops! forgot to reply back to this, completely derped out…
and yeah i think we have vastly different playing styles. but i mean the point of beta is to get as far as you can and test everything out soooooo i mean makes sense to put a big push on it while its up. ^^ He opened up the nerdier side of life to me and i adore it. MMO’s, Video games, D&D. Still love sports and i do that every day (or as close to every day as i can) but . … special place in my heart for all this other stuff now also.
^o^ looking into cleric-y stuff now…
