Ridiculous drop rates

So, if the whole “DPK” (It should be KPD) meme is real then the system needs ti be ripped out and replaced with standard % chance to drop immediately because it’s -Massively- unfair to everybody involved

and if it’s not real, the drop rates need some adjusting since they seem to be tailored to -Bots- not human players.

DPK would be fair if it was a global thing, this way you could be 100% sure the item would drop, there are games that low % itens take weeks to drop even with lots of people farming it. The problem is the way it is implemented, its channel/map bound and there are few people in the maps and most of them are just questing so the 1 guy who have been farming for 1h could lose his item to a lucky player who just killed 5-15 of that monster for the quest and thats unfair.

In my opinion the drop rates are fine, in this game most monsters are extremally easy to kill and ther rates are pretty big for a MMORPG actually, so its quite easy to quet any % item you want compared to other games. The problem here is the monster respawn rate, some monsters just spawn 5 at a time in some maps and take minutes to respawn while you take 2 sec to kill all of them. There are monsters that you cant even kill 60 in a hour! If they were challenging or special i would understand, but they are just regular mobs with really ridiculous spawn rates.

TLDR; DPK is not working as it is, should have some global mechanic and drop rates are fine but monster spawn rates are terrible.

There is one BIS item for each class. Really now, if you got your BIS item in a week you would quit in 2 months, which is kinda whats happening as we speak.

If we had not figured it out, there would be no uproar and everyone simply thinking “man, this is seriously low chance” but would accept his fate.
So if someone is lucky right before your eyes, sucks sure thing, but then you know ok, gonna give it all and get it next time. Calculate how much time roughly is needed for the kill amount and go make yourself a coffee, come back and be the one to steal it from someone else

2nd part is more important, iTos has a reduced respawn rate compared to ktos, this is currently srewing everything this game intends to have and to be.
Higher respawn = more frequent drops, faster questing, less stressful empty map grinding and in general less channel hopping -> less channels required, more populated game (this chain is not accurate, but in my eyes somewhat true)

drops are fine

You people start with this crap, try to back it with some info one or two came up with, if that was really the case, i wouldn’t find 3x glass bracelet on an empty map while questing in less than 200 kills, wouldn’t be able to find a battle bracelet in tenet filled to the bring with bots and other players in less than 50 kills, wouldn’t be able to find Linne Bracelet in a map with 2 more people in less than 50 kills.

I already stayed in DP 2 to hunt for mithril and found only 1 in the first time i was there grinding.

My friend find them frequently in Tenet, at least 1 per day she get there.

I never found any problem in the drops, it’s just patience and luck.

That one is simple:
The other players and bots helped raising the DPK value since it’s channel wide.
As for the other cases, you have no evidence to back up your claims so those numbers could very well just be made up or there were more people on the map than you thought.

DPK drops were data mined when the drop tables were still inside the client files and DPK was mentioned in pre-CBT patch notes.

Same for the rest of what you are saying.

There is no real evidence on how the drops work, it’s easy to assume something because someone saw files in the old client, it was a test client, the drop rates on the tests where so damn high that we had Roxona Set recipes coming out of our noses, same for the material (except the bosses material).

It is pure and simple RNG, be it with or without DPK, PDK or KFC.

I am not here to make anyone believe what i say, but i won’t believe on what a bunch say based on one old info from one old client from a CBT phase.

Things changed, and drastically.

Well i am out, i know where this thread will end up.

There is no such thing as DPK in TOS, simple as that, no hard evidence whatsoever only speculation.
