Reworking Boss Cards

Hi there, i’m here to discuss something that we all probably aware, the almost zero diversity of card bosses. There are literally 5 cards that people is using atm: chaparition the only option for magic dps; glass mole, almost the only option for physical dps; nueale, the only option for tanking classes; werewolf the special snow flake that only it’s used by rouges (and it’s bugged atm); and ellaganos but this cards is rapidly losing popularity due to: dex no longer gives crit rate, there is no a reason to use it over glass mole, because if u use that 80 point of dex into str, you will see almost no increment in your damage if u have high trans end game weapons. So let me say there are only 4 real options of bosses cards. I know there is the blunt card (+1 con), but atm i haven’t seen any in the market. So my idea is we can propose some new card abilities here, and hopefully the staff would read this.

My first idea is a card, given the current patch, which grant you crit rate, something like +1 c rate per star (maybe 2, or would be op?), this would be a good alternative to the glass mole. My second thought is about cards that boost one specific element, but not like the actual cards saying: “1% chance of giving 1% of ice resist when hit by a little demon monster on Friday after eating a cheese burger” No i mean card like “+1% damage per star to ice type attacks” So elememes and cyros can use this, and pyros can use the fire version of this.

Agreed on this, cards should be a more versatile aspect of the game and some of the bonuses are totally obsolete.

they should just make it simple and useful like in RO

right now there are a ton of cards that have an oddly specific effect that no one would ever use

Monster Cards will be reworked in the future, so keep making suggestions as it’s already on IMC’s to-do list. :slight_smile:

for damage card as capri and glassmole shpuld limited the card count so ppl will versetile with other card。always see video of class spam buff of card to increase damage it not how the skill should work like phesant skilll with glass mole 1hit mob if not with card buff bcm useless the skill not useful if not use card buff so it corrupt the skill of how it should work。

Some other ideas, let me know what u think

  • “x% chance per star of auto cast [insert skill here] when attacking with physical/magic attack”
  • “x% chance per star of dropping a talt/gem/item when kill a certain type of enemy (or maybe any enemy but the chance should be low)” This would be a great card for farming classes.
    Some other could be pvp oriented like:
  • “x% chance per star of ignoring x% of enemy defense/evasion/block”

star% to instant kill normal enemies like summoning odin in FF game :heart_eyes: or my favorite card from KH: chain of memories
