It’s always been understandable and beneficial for guilds to require time and effort to reach various levels.
This has been good in the past, it promoted guilds organising and working together to achieve things.
As the game content has grown, the developers have relaxed the levelling process to make it easier for new players to catch up, however, the developers have never relaxed the guild rank up requirements.
This has essentially made it completely impossible for new guilds to start now, the requirements are monumentally high. Requiring 20-40 active daily people grinding talt every day for months to get to higher guild levels where there is actually some interesting and rewarding missions for guilds to perform.
These are out of reach for new players. And as old guilds have died or their leadership has become bored with the game, those guilds have stopped recruiting.
It would benefit the whole game for IMC to relax the talt requirements for guilds to gain levels faster to catch up with current players. The philosophy should follow the gearing philosophy, where outdated gear becomes easier with a new content drop so that players starting the game can catch up, but the better guilds will still race ahead and gain an advantage in new content.
There is no way that a new guild will ever reach the current talt requirements needed for level 10+, there are no longer enough players playing the game in a hardcore enough mindset to reach those goals.
I hope the staff will consider this. There’s some interesting content at the higher levels, but you’re not letting most of your player base access it because the guilds with the ability to play it barely exist anymore.
