Tree of Savior Forum

Returning to the Game

Hello! I recently found myself being extremely bored and been thinking to start playing Tree of Savior again. I haven’t played since maybe a month after release and I hope to find someone on the forums who can help me decide if I should play again or not.

Has the game improved since?

If I were to play again, I don’t know what class I want to play. I had a lv 231 Shinobi, lv 90 Sapper, lv 120 Pardoner and a 103 Cataphrant before I quit the game, are any of these still good? What classes are most useful and wanted? I don’t mind starting over and playing a support class or something.

Thank you.

let’s not talk about this, you will end up in pure disappointment

Cryo3-Chrono3-Sage is in demand, the mage monsters on the new maps are terrible, sometimes archers are also a threat if you don’t have enough def/evasion. Sage makes things a lot easier

and as usual, clerics are still strong and op, useful in almost every situation

Game? Marginally. Something’s been fixed, somethings break, but compared to April the game’s in an okay-ish place.

Community? Mostly just shitposting waiting for the game to close and act like they called it.

Population? Diminished but lively depending on where you are. If you’re from Orsha then maybe abandon all hope.

Hey, it’s something at least.

Community has been like that since beta, no chance I see. I’m on the EU server so I should be okay.

Sage seems interesting and I never played any mage class yet so might try it. Been also thinking to level my Pardoner. Thanks!

Sums it up in a whole. Your not going o find any real valid answers here that aren’t at the very least, biast. It’s a F2P game. Load it up, play it, enjoy it, don’t, put it back down. Pretty simple concept. Things for me have gotten better since day 1 EA. It’s not the story for everyone else.

Depends on you really if you don’t give 2 silver about those ‘improvements’. Game is still ok for most part, okay-er than back in april. Not that it’s any better.

Anyway for the jobs, perhaps most demanding is the cleric tree due to end game (for now), mobs hit really really hard, especially magic ones, thus making them 99.9% invited to any party for grinding.

And if you build it right, perhaps you can solo grinding as well. Saw one was leveling alone in Timery and he was doing just fine.

Pardoner can turn into a plague doctor. Because discern evil is a strong combo with them.

And it’s fairly easy to level rapidly with the new event (look for an NPC in town that says demon hunter or something).

As far as current events goes… kToS went full P2W and we’re kind of waiting to see if that happens to iToS.

Was there anything in particular you wanted to know about?

If you’re in for PVE only you should be good. Might encounter some problems with bots and AFK farmers that might interrupt your gameplay at lowbie areas. Unless you play on peak hours, some lowbie dungeons/missions will likely be ghosttowns.

If you want to level fast, you now have the option to buy x8 exp tomes (from TP shop) and instance clear voucher from market or monster drop if you’re lucky. The way the voucher works is that you just get in dungeon even by just yourself, use voucher, just stand there and watch your exp rise, rinse/repeat.

If you expect to be competitive PVP-wise (TBL, GvG), prepare to shell out a decent amount of cash and/or roll an R8 PVP-meta cleric class (e.g. oracle kabal inquisitor). At this point, going hardcore-i-wont-be-a-whale is futile.

1 more thing, what’s the current state for addons? Are they still allowed? If yes, which ones are worth getting?

Hit and miss.

Some are some arnt. Generally anything that allows you to access a npc / npc info while not being at the npc is illegal.

Better UI things like better market tabs / exp viewers etc are usually fine.

We’re still going. Most toxic people are on other servers, and everyone is pretty chill which is nice. (Plus we get to mooch off of Klaipeda for missions. :smiling_imp:)

And to add to what Mr August is saying… Mods that automate actions as well. Though… it seems that ones been hard to enforce in some instances… Like heard of auto-potion mods getting used a lot by sorcs not sure if they get punished as often as they should for it…

Just wanted to let you know that I’m playing again and decided to make a new character for this! Thanks again.

hello and goodbye, you are basically returning as the majority of the few people left from founder’s access are leaving, there will still be a handful of people around but they will all be credit card warriors, enjoy

hey welcome back! don’t be discourage about the game population drop since its natural for an MMO to drop after release since all are trying out the game and if it doesn’t suit them they quit, and ofc this includes the bugs hacks bots and other stuffs which is quite normal in other MMO. so try out the game and see if you’d like the improvements, it gotten much better than before but yeah nothing to do end game but its fun trying out different builds

Dont come please, go and play something else is more worthwhile than this piece of dogshit, seriously, you just came when the game started to be a big p2w game, avoid it like a pest, you can just go around and read what the hell is going on

TLDR: Dont do it
