[Returning player questions] What's have changed about swordsman and what is good now?

Hi guys, i decide to return on this game. I loved it so much before, but the lack of balance / high level content / unkillable creeps (lol) disgust me.

Last year to be honest, swordsman were crap. So for now, i have a lot of questions and i hope that you can help me !

Is swordsman archetype better now ?

Sword 3 / Cata 3 / Dragoon 2 is really that strong in PvP ? Dethrone is a top tier burst skill ?

Is their a good PvP build with Shinobi class ?

Same question with Doppelsoldner ?

What is a good build for Murmillo ? Is it viable in PvP ?

S3/Cata3/Dragoon2 is pretty solid in PvP yes. Dethrone is a pretty cool burst skill in PvP yes.

It’s not even that bad in PvE either if you got the gear, as Serpentine -> Rush scales great with transcended gear. Rush does 30 hits and each hit is affected by PATK so it scales very nice. It’s the reason dopple scale so well, because their cyclone also does a lot of hits. Cata just scales well both in PvP and PvE.

Extremely strong class in swordsman tree, will dominate until Rank 9 meta. Dethrone is the most feared from Dragoon skills.

Is their a good PvP build with Shinobi class ?

I dont see any shinobi in PVP, most of the well geared shinobi are in PVE contents. Meaning you have to make one yourself and see if can climb high in the rankings. I suggest to pick Murmillo for Shinobi pvp build.

Same question with Doppelsoldner ?

Unmounted Dopple suck so bad in PVP. ISUD with full solmiki stage 10 transcendence cant climb at rank 40+. Maybe a mix of Cata or Murmillo on it could make it a good contender in PVP. We could see Dopple 3 at the rankings in R9 era.

Corsair hook, Pelt murmillo, Rodelero murmillo. All of them always make an appearance at top 10. Hook+murmillo are mandatory for unmounted swordsman for me. Squeeze any utilities you can have before Murmillo.

Dragoons are still at the top regardless of R7F.
