[Returning Player] How's the 'endgame' these days?

I haven’t played Tree of Savior in over a year and the reason why is partly because back then the game had extremely limited ‘endgame’ options for players. You were basically done with your Dailies (Dungeons, Saluus) in an hour and after that all you could really do was farming Monsters (for little to no reward) or leveling an Alt.

Has anything changed since then? Did they add new, MEANINGFUL endgame content? Have they finally removed that ridiculous “2 Dungeons per day” limit that served no practical purpose?

I’m thinking of coming back but I need something to keep me busy once reach the max level and farming regular Monsters for a 0.0002% chance of getting something valuable is not my idea of time well spent.

In a couple weeks there will be some new end game content, for now it is just Velcoffer’s Nest(Legend Raid, 2x per week) and Gemstone Feud(PVP), as well as some weekly pvp events like territory wars and boruta (reserved for the top guild).

Velcoffer is pretty much easy to farm now since it is at the end of its relevance, new level cap and raid content is being released soon that should be interesting.

So in other words, there’s still no endgame PvE content that could keep one busy every day. A bi-weekly Raid is the opposite of what I’m looking for and PvP does not interest me at all.

busy every day: Mercenary quest+Saalus+Gemstone Feud(avoid combat and just farm monsters is the same as PVE with friendly fire)+Vanilla HG Grind.
it can work just like a full time job for some ppl.

Edit: There are still Unique Raids

Try out the reworked earth tower and uphill defense. Besides that, the remnance of bernance solo dungeon at the oracle master in klaipeda is worth a visit as well.

ET hasn’t been reworked yet. They announced it like 7 or 8 weeks ago and the way it was worded was as though we received the update in the previous patch but- I think kToS was just getting it so we’ll see it in Episode 11.

When it is reworked though it will still be an outdated 330 raid and so fast (5 floors and 5 times per week) it won’t hold as end game.

Uh oh, watch out guys, we’ve got a badass over here xD

That was not toxic at all, sir.

I just hit level cap for the first time, (it was on a toon I made at launch) and all I can say is I really just want a complicated boss rush with competitive leaderboards

Me, personally, would be happy enough with your typical MMO deal of Repeatable Dungeons, provided the rewards would be comparable to other Repeatable activities.

This is why I think Tree of Savior’s endgame is lacking, you basically have your checklist of extremely limited Per Day/Per Week activities with not many options left once you’re done with those.

There is already Bernice thing

That’s why I see a lot of people quitting the game for a few months because they’re bored and coming back because it’s still a good game (and they hope new stuff will be released in the meantime). Feel free to do that, it’s completely fine.

If you didn’t play for a year, then you’ll find a lot of things changed for sure. The class system has been completely reworked, which should keep you busy for a long time as you’d probably have to respec your chars and learn how to play new builds. If you’re looking for endgame content, forget about it, the game is still expanding as we will soon get “Episode 11” and there will be probably 2 or 3 more before we’ll see the actual endgame. So content is still made to make your chars progress through the game more than achieve endgame goals. The limit on dungeons is still there (it’s 3 instead of 2 now :haha:), but you don’t have to spam dungeons anymore since you get much more experience and silver from quests.

Unless you’re a collection completionnist, you will never waste your time farming mobs for 0.0002% chance of getting stuff… :haha:
If you want to be busy, you can do two things imo:

  1. Velcoffer runs: twice per week per char, soon five per week per team; get guaranteed legend grade items; improve them along the way; takes time to build a full set for your chars
  2. Try different builds: no idea what type of char you like, but I’m sure leveling up a swordie, an archer, a cleric, a wizard and a scout would make you busy enough until new the level cap is raised again

It’s doing great.

Meh, they are still slow as hell with balance patches, it takes like 3 months every try. But as a upgrade, they are actually listening more to feedback and the next balances will change the game a LOT for the better as much i can tell.

Right now wastrel unique raid is a different experience because it has a lot of mechanics, its really refreshing having to use some brains cells.

If you are a PvP fanatic there is still the “meta” but ppl are still finding other paths that can do pretty well on pvp.

Real tos is pretending klai ch1 is a chat room and talking about the game instead of playing it.
